  • @Gijoe1944 i don't think the vickers design was ever adopted for ground use in ww1 so you seem correct. for the most part, maxim style weapons were used, tho planes mounted vickers machine guns due to lighter weight

  • Mg08/15 is right! a german machinegun of the WWI

  • used in ww1 through vietnam. they became more and more rare as the years went by. both sides during ww1 used the vickers machine gun

    The central powers did not use the Vickers. They used the MG08 made by DWM which also built the MG11 shown in this video.

    Basically MG08 and MG11 were almost identical.
