Back in JP's early days, I believe they had a drummer named Les Binks, and he left JP and was in another band that absolutely rocked! I can't recall the name of the band. Does anyone else remember this and maybe what the name of that band was? Or am I just dilusional?
I saw JP live twice back in the day. Once at Seattle Center Coliseum before it was Key Arena and once at the Tacoma Dome. Still to this day two of the best concerts of my life.
in terms of influence popularity and politic, youtube is the most significant media form of the 21vcentury unfortunaly for most unknown practictioners and selfish showers/buyers.since 2005 youtube made a triumpf in medias formal.but what i dont understand is the fact that we users got to pay nothing for that all.who pay this?the politic?i mean they use youtibe for information and whats the deal is -with the mainstream-.youtube why dont u want the same like GEZ for the radio?18 euro for 3 months?
WOW soo long ago, I was in the USAF boot camp at this time..never had the pleasure of seeing PRIEST live..one of me favorite heavy metal dudes Yahweh, me getting OLD
@apocyldoomer I Just left USAF basic training in 82 then went to Kessler and my buddy Rick and I played JP all the time down on Biloxi beach. The good ole days. Have you seen how they aged since this video was made?
Priest is without a doubt one the GREAT live bands. I saw them for the first time in 76 at the Whisky in Hollywood during their first American tour I believe -- and 8 consecutive years after. In those early years, Halford hit high notes that near spilt your skull wide open!!! We all get older and I have not seen them since 85, I just couldn't take Rob not hitting those crushing high notes (see Victum of Changes)!!!
these metal gods did it right now all you have is bullshit hip hop and bullshit they call music this is fucking music noone will ever touch what judas priest did fuck he can rip with that voice and still to this day they sound so fucking sick i was born in the wrong era of music why metal gods why
There isn't a singer in ANY "metal" band in today's music who can fucking TOUCH Halford. This is what metal is all about. This is why he's called the Metal God.
@StryperandJesus That would have been like God and Jesus put together. Dio is another one who was one of a kind. Totally balls-out dedicated to the roots of true metal.
He sure was, but know hes laying it down in prisong for LAYING IT DOWN on a special needs child. haha but travis is still a beast so the trade off wasnt a loss
I saw this show one month before this Memphis concert at the Alladin Hotel, in Las Vegas. Second row baby. I had just turned 16 and remember driving to the show with great anticipation. Kids these days with no fault of their own really missed out on real concerts. You not only heard awesome music, but you saw a production that would blow you aunt Connie's socks off!
I love this solo...and the rythem of this song is amaaaaazing!
