  • What a shit repair haha look at the state of that wheel arch you can see the filler edges haha

  • FOR EVERYONE OUT THERE BONDO IS OK. not this bondo-hair stuff. No matter what if you get collision repair your car will have bondo. it might only be 1/16 or 1/8 inch thick but it will have it

  • This guy is showing people how to HIDE rust damage (although not very well) not repair it. You can then paint it auction red, run this car through a sale and possibly get a lot more for it than it's worth. Who cares about the poor kid who spends everything he has saved for two years for a heap of junk! This is the kind of thing that gives BONDO a bad name.

  • And for his next video, he will show us how to rebuild rust holes with wads of bubble gum!

  • Glazing or Spot putty??? Fuck buddy try a grinder, what a shit job!! as for your choice of primer?, man just forget it!!! Nice straight creases too!!

  • for slightly more in cost you can get a cheap fluxcore welder and actually put metal back where metal needs to be. A hammer and a sheet of 18 ga steel and anyone can get better results than that. This shit is not rocket science just takes some patience. Then again this is probably why people bring me their cars, because the lack patience.

  • back yard hack

  • A great trick for doing filler work is... after fairing out the filler, put a piece of wax paper over the wet filler or patch area and smooth it out,Then after about 5 minutes when the filler has solidified, (*but before the mix has completely hardened or cured), remove or gently peel off the wax paper, and it leaves a nice smooth surface with very little sanding to do. It works great !!!. large holes can be covered by putting the filler on wax paper first, then apply it to the repair area.

  • Using this kind of product to sort out small holes of rust in a car is okay. As long as you grind away all the rust and treat the metal before you use filler.

However the guy in this video, didn't grind away any of the rust, and although he treated it, he did an AWFUL job of filling in the holes, WAYYY to much bondo hair, WAYYY to much bondo, and then he did a terrible job of primering.

If you're looking to sort out some rust on your car, do it, just don't follow this guys advice!

  • YO DUDE WHERES MY RUST.lol

This video is to fuckn funny.lmfao

This guy is trying not to laugh, cause he know a bunch of dumb assess are going to buy this shit.lol

  • Holy FUCK.This video should be deleted.I keep on having to fix rigged shit like this all the time ,because people see this video and think they know how to do body work.I just cant wait until the day I'm driving next to someone who used this method to repair rust and they fall through the fucking floor of the car.lol

The only thing I would use bondo hair for is to fix a hole in my garbage can.lmfao

  • Holy hell, i'd hate to see the rest of this car..... you need to remove this hill-womp video. A drill to sand? Stop huffing the fumes dude....

  • repair looks like crap screwed up the lip

  • its people like you that give bondo a bad name. bondo is a great filler. y cant just pile it on there and halfass sand it. looks like shit that way

  • see how many body shops use a Bondo type product to fill in large uneven surfaces, even on NEW metal.......because new panels are NOT perfect.

  • @jeepers2655 i use bondo produces all the time. nothing wrong with it if u know what you are doing.

  • thanks for the video

  • Bunch of really stupid comments here. Crap, no one's going to do this on their late model Lexus. These kinds of repairs are for shade-tree and younger guys trying to clean up old beater cars and the like. For that it's very valuable information. My kid just did several repairs like this before painting his truck. Pro results? No, but much nicer than it was before. Really who in that situation can pay $4k for paint and body on a vehicle that's only worth $1,000 in the first place?

  • the hole is way too big for bondo-hair

  • The best repair for this job is metal because metal is what the car is made of. Bondo is epoxy filler. Give that wheel well a few cold winters and she will fall off from ice build up. Nice idea for quick fix but not worth it to me.

  • I'm not going to use bondo hair because it can easily lead to more "rustout", but it's not a bad video, either. HATERS GONNA HATE

Also, this man does a really bad job at the bodywork, so you guys watching this should really put some care and patience into your work as opposed to him.

  • @mikebola yea. he sucks. but the bondo hair is a great product for molding in hood scoops.

  • Biges, you're one big hick!

  • I don't get all the hate related too this vid? Dumb.....Do ya'll feel that inferior in society to bust on every thing like you got game gust to feel better? God damn.....

  • Very useful. Just worked on a fender on an old Ranger for my son and it worked well enough for a 16 year old. Even if it falls out in time it can be redone and well worth a little time and 20 bucks. The negative population on this subject cannot write properly or speak without profane language so I do not intend to listen to anyone like that anyway. Thanks for the post.

  • wow this video is bullshit!! lol.. since when do pro's use bondo to fill in a hole!! there's nothing to bondo too!! any Pro would tell you that u would have weld new metal, not just fill it in!! and finishing with 80 grit is way to rough.. it should be done with 150 to 220 before primer then spot putty, sand that with 400 grit.. and how r u suppose to shape bondo with drill, we use DA's now!! that shits old skool!! LOL..

  • @N24rOc go fuck your self

  • @dicelockdown look here little bitch how about you stop tryin to watch all these YOUTUBE videos like you goin learn something and go school bitch.. Wyotech Grad Bitchess..

  • @dicelockdown

Go to school little bitch and you might just learn something.. youtube ain't going to help you!!.. Wyotech Grad FAG!! lol.. What you another youtube body man!?! lol..

  • @N24rOc im sure it came out real shitty with the drill

  • Great video thanks :{) my lil brother and I are working on his truck this will help us even more stuff like this get us going to work and the truck even more keep it up

  • Guys he isnt out of line here with this type of repair. fiberglass filler can be safely used to repair a hole that is up to 1 inches in diameter. People give bondo a bad reputation because guys try and fix rust holes the size of basketballs with it. Filler products have to be used even after welding new panels in place. this type of small rust is ok to fix with fiberglass filler.

  • so there is primer in color? Sry I am new to this

  • OLD SCHOOL

  • 80 grit sand paper is too strong for the body filler, it will give a rough finish, its best to use a higher grit paper, especially on the last body filler layer

  • lmao so many people probably ruined their cars after watching this video

  • That is a shit ton of bondo lol

  • ppl of you tube dont do this on nice cars junkers only that is shit work

  • dude im sorry but i gotta say thats a shit job that guy just did.... he didnt remove any rust just hammered it in and left it there its trappedd now and going to rott faster.... im not a body man but i grew up in a body shop.... i can tell you that is shit work... i wouldnt let him pay me to do that to my camaro and that one is better vintage than mine... hell i wouldnt let him pay me to fix anything

  • You call that Bondo-Hair a body filler, so I take it that product doubles as a anal lube? Can we see Hoss here in the video bent over his trailer trash Camaro taking it up his ass?

  • WAY too much hardner, and his shaping of the filler looks like a retarded monkey on acid did it.

  • I wonder who he had fixing his fuckup behind the camera he didn't even mix the stuff right.

  • Yeah it might be a hack/whack repair for some, yeah it is a bit commercial, but it is a handy post and just what I needed. Sure beats just going by the directions.

re 2:25 ... mixing surface.... I used a split-open and cut-away 1 gallon laundry detergent container. First sliced down the middle giving 2. Then laid flat and cut around at about 1/2 inch up, for a nice flex rim. This make-do tray even has a nice handle to hold it! Cleans easily for repeated use. fwiw, Hein.

  • I did shit work like this when I was a kid and didn't know any better. Using a drill for sanding: LOL! They'll tell you anything to get "happy homeowner' to buy their products.

  • @CoolasIce2 He is trying to provide info for the working car owner, who probably doesn't have special grinders, etc. , and can't afford coughing up tons of money to a body shop. Lots of us are just living pay check to pay check, ya know?Good video.

  • i am working on a 78 ta same problem this has helped me more under stand what i am doing rong i will put what u have showed us in to my repair monday thank u

  • I got into a fender bender and there is a 6 inch or so crack on my front bumper. Can i use the body filler on that sand it down and paint it with touch up paint?

  • @TheUFOeffect no please dont it will fall back out

  • LIKE THE VIDEO I HAVE A OLD 85 CAPRICE ITS NOT HURT BAD I HAD IT PAINTED A COUPLE YEARS BACK BUT IM BROKE NOW AND I WONT MY CAR REPAINTED AND I WONT TO DO IT MY SELF I WENT TO A SHOP ASKEN BOUT BODY WORK TO SHE WHAT NEED TO BE DONE NOE MUCH JUST TO DENTS FROM WHEN I WAS DOING MOTOR WORK BUT DO I HAVE TO SAND THE WHOLE CAR BEFORE I PAINT IT

  • that guy is a re tard

  • @picapop12345 whats a rah tard??

  • @Kdot0084 you know a retard

  • great video, I have a car with rust holes and am not good with rivets and metal. I am going to get some Bondo Thanks!!

  • e tutti i buchi che lasci lo stucco come li copri???? capraaaa

  • what a joke

  • looool i like the video bu he add to much hardener loooooooool :) kaaaaak heheheheheheh

  • Stop with the whining already, If the bondo fails 5 years down the road you can still cut it out and weld in a new one.

  • This guy is a body man he did a kick ass job with just a power sander and the bondo product thats awesome Macgyver s**t, imagine what he can do in a full stock paint shop.

  • Well if you only spend $400 on your car and you want to clean up the rust on it then here you go. Hes not doing it to a Lamborghini jesus you guys are critical

  • If i did a finish like that ,i would kick my own ass out of the shop !

  • They didn't have a featheredge on body work in this Model Year! LMFAO

  • This is from back in the 80's guys. Look at his hair/clothes! He's is a BONDO EMPLOYEE!

  • this is what i call an I DONT GIVE A FUCK JOB..smh

  • Wait, Those holes arent stock?

  • stupid fag cut out the rust and weld in a new section

  • @uavito94

Yes because any idiot can run a MIG or a TIG without any practice whatsoever, and won't get spatter everywhere else on the car body. Or a stuck electrode.

MAYBE a stick welder if the guy had some scrap metal to practice on. And the $150 to spend on a HF welder, cheap china mask and gloves.

Or giving $300 to your local weld shop (grinding the weld to conform not included).

The stuff works for people that can't do that sorta work. Only alternative is to let it keep rusting.

  • The owner of this car must not care about the rust. Rust NEVER sleeps! You should have cut that rusted area out and welded in a new patch panel.

  • this is the SHITTIEST rapair job i have ever seen in my fucking life!!!!!!!!

  • Any job worth doing is worth doing right! That repair is crap even on a crap car it's crap. Waste of time. Thank you, good night.

  • My car's worth about $2500 and 7 years old. The body looks great, but some knucklehead left a sign in he road that put a one inch by five inch dent in my door. It would cost me about $300 to $500 to fix this and I have a few other dings to clean up as well. The items to fix the damage cost less than $50 from an auto parts store and can save beau coups bucks. Why spend a fifth of the value on your ride fixing minor body damage, other than leaving it alone?

  • why theres no new "how to use bondo" videos? I think bondo works very well, especially if your car is worth under 8000$ , why bother go to body shop to repair for 2000$ ???? Only smart people would use bondo.

  • some people do fix holes and rust outs like this me i prefer making a patch panel over fiberglass but this guy is just fucked ive been doing body work for ages and i rarely use spot and glazing putty im surprised they arent trying to sell bondo water for when u get thirsty

  • Most stupid repair ever...

  • can u get this stuff in Canada?

  • soooo bondo < bondo-hair

  • WOW i never knew bondo made a super long hair filler.... I am gonna try it out its gotta be cheaper then the everglass tiger hair i use , im paying $110 a gallon but everglass makes color cream hardeners and that stuff sticks to glass, painted surfaces and plastic which is most excellent for motorcycles.

  • thanks for posting this video I need to repair an area on my car and this is what i will be using. I dont see why everyone hates this video, Bondo is great, ecspecailly if you do not have a welder, or have 3 grand to pay a body shop to replace the fender, i need a video that shows how to wet sand properly now though, lol

  • Great video, let the haters speak, I just learned a ton of knowledge, guys keep negative comments off here. No wany am I going to pay a thousand dollars to some body shop to do the same work.

Keep it up guys, we need more videos like this.

  • @COVERCHICAGO the economy is going to get fucked up even more

  • @COVERCHICAGO dude im sorry but i gotta say thats a shit job that guy just did.... he didnt remove any rust just hammered it in and left it there its trappedd now and going to rott faster.... im not a body man but i grew up in a body shop.... i can tell you that is shit work

  • this is a great video I have a 91 mitsubishi with over the fender rust. I" gonna weld new metal in? geta patch panel? no way. this will make it look decent for a couple years. its meant for high end work or restoration. if you go to buy an old car as I have you better know how not to be ripped off.

  • i agree this shit is dodgey as...whats hard about unpicking a few spot welds and even hand fabricating a new part and welding it.....very poor indeed

  • How can these quick-fix bondo videos be removed from youtube, same way as explicit or offending content? This is how people get cheated, because bondo-man has used all his tricks and skills to cover problem areas.

  • video is working just click the uppdate button a couple of times

  • Ahhhh... my eyes my eyes!!! ever heard of WELDING? the "bondo-scoop" looks truly necessary for the job - that one alone probably retails at just about $9.99 - Worst crap I've ever seen!

  • That´s horrible, bondo is RUBBISH! I hope this is a prank as jpmini said.

  • i hate all of you unexpirenced fucks

you are a fucking idiot after you weld in the patch how the fuck are you going to get it straight without bondo you fucking idiot

  • i hope this video is a prank, i would castrate him if were fooled to buy that piece of shit, lazy amature yanks you give the hobby bad reputation LOOSERS
