As much as I liked V, Childerich was not a very welcome addition- I wished he was gone the moment he appeared. I mean he was just lame-seriously! I think it's stupid to even compare him to Luca Blight-Luca was an epic BADASS, Childerich wouldn't last a minute with the guy with or without the raging nostrum.

Hoh.. so this is the scene when you defend? Currently running through trying to gather all 108 stars (after waiting a year so I wouldn't remember the full story) and it looks like I'll have to keep an extra save here to be able to see this scene.

Although not as powerful, it reminds me of the "bad" ending in Suikoden II (complete with the picture after the credits).

Roy is seriously weak if you have him in your team even when you train him up. But this ending is the best in my opinion.

Roy can master all his skills like the Prince, AND wears the final equipment which is normally exclusive to the Prince... Not to mention the Co-op attack. Well, Lion is far better, but Roy isn't that crappy neither :)
