I know this sounds cruel but I feel worse for Johnathan than Mary. Johnathan spent his adult life with the woman he loved and Mary had Adam Jr. for a few months when this tragedy occurred. She lost her baby yes but Johnathan lost the woman he loved, the mother of his children, and his future. Mary and Adam could have more children but Johnathan could never have his one true love.

I felt really bad for Albert when he starts crying like that and saying "I didn't mean it." He felt really bad about the mistake he made and wanted to fix it, but there was nothing he could do. I have seen people call Albert a murderer on message boards and I don't think that's fair because he didn't mean to do it, he was verry sorry, and his friend Clay is just as responsible as he is because Albert tried to get Clay not to smoke out of the pipe but he didn't listen.

Charles' words from 3:50-4:40 are some of the most beautiful and powerful things I've ever heard when it comes to dealing with losing someone you love, moving on and living again, and ultimately, trusting in God's love. His line from earlier in the episode, when Jonathan wants to know why they died, "I don't know. If I did know, I'd be God" was one of the most poignant lines I've ever heard.

Whoever wrote how Jonathan feels after the fire must have had 1st or 2nd hand experience with it.

I have 1st hand experience of losing someone in a fire, and the feeling of "I'll wake up from a dream and he'll still be there" is exactly how I felt for a long time.

Having our daughter in my life is the only thing that helps me through each day w/out him.

Two very dear friends of mine died in a tragic house fire in 1987. Its been 21 years since that time and I dont believe theres been a single day that I dont think of them, or wonder what theyd might be like now, married, or if theyd have children of their own today had they survived.
