Have fallout 3 on the PC. Then download this mod (look in description). Place the mod (.esp) into your fallout 3 data folder. Then activate it in the launcher. After that, look on your pipboy map (in game) near Megaton for Deserted Vault (I have an incorrect spelling in the mod currently, but it will be fixed).

The progress on it has slowed. I might release a beta soon (the quest won't be complete). To get rid of the ghoul now, press the ~ key. That should break up the command window. Then with your cursor click on the Ghoul. Then type in "disable" (without the ""). Save before you do this just incase you hit the wrong thing (or you get just type enable).

Ya its possible and I thought about it. However, I wanted a quick entrance to the home; watching the animation for the vault door wouldn't meet my "want". Also the background fits why the door is on the ground (depends how you think).

If somebody were to open my mod in the G.E.C.K you will see that I originally had a robot created with a script for him to be a follower (like Charon or someone). However I deleted it, to much time. If I make a companion it will be a stand alone mod.
