FYI... poor Mary aka Bloody Marry murdered MANY innocent ppl including her poor cousin Jane Grey and her husband who much like Anne was manipulated by her family, and after Mary extended her protection still she was killed. Mary also imprisoned her "poor" sister Elizabeth and came very close to having her executed b4 her husband encourage her to "make up" of course Elizabeth had 2 give outward appearance of Catholicism

@AurigaxBlack In many versions Anne was happy and in love w/ Henry Percy b4 the king and Cardinal Wolsey sent him away, also Seeing the pig King's behaviour he got what he wanted, at least Anne saw what befell her sister and gve him an ultimatum to marry her or basically get lost. It was noted Anne gave Large amounts of $ to poor/needy, n the end she faced her death & didnt blast the king or her father even. King Henry was the Real Devil, nothing cld hve been done w/o his say so!

@AurigaxBlack She hounded Henry for Mary's death for her own daughter. Mary would and Did pose a threat to her own daughter. Anne saw Mary as the threat she could become. After all once Mary did reach the throne she had poor Elizabeth locked away 4 a time... could have been much worst. I not making excuses 4 her watch Anne of aThousand Days... there r svrl versions of this story, What is known 4 a fact is Her family were monsters, The King was a monster, and Anne was w/ sum1 else b4 the King!

@AurigaxBlack There are lots of diff portrayals of Anne, You should checkout Ann of a Thousand Days Great movie... I dnt think Anne was disappointed with Elizabeth it was even Anee who declared 1 day Elizabeth would be a Great Queen. Had Anne had a boy she wld have lived, she promised the King a son after all. Anne was in love with another, happy, and content. it's her Greedy Father and Uncle that were to blame. I actually feel sorry for all the Queens. Henry was a piece of sh*t!!!

Maria Doyle's portray of Queen Catherine is simply amazing, she shows so much emotion and strenght. the way she walks and talks, the way she looks at Henry, even when she knows he no longer loves her, make her performance truly remarkable. Catherine was a beautiful woman, inside and out. It's so tragic what happened to her... I'm not going to say that Anne Boleyn didn't help move England in a radically different direction, with the English Reformation and Elizabeth I and all... but she wasn't truly a queen. You worded it so well. Many people don't realize the enormous pressures that Catherine was under. As a loyal & subservient wife, she was supposed to follow her husband's orders, as a royal princess & queen, she wasn't supposed to allow anyone to humiliate her, as a mother, she was supposed to protect her daughter's interest [right to the throne] & as a Christian, she was supposed to follow her conscience. She was balancing everything at the same time.
