hahahahahaha it had nothing (okay, partially) to do with touring with other bands, it was cause the singer turned from a girl to a man hahaha his voice changed so much; they had to change their style. I saw them like during his hit of puberty lol and they had to compromise so much, the other guitarist had to sing like all the high notes; it sucks i didn't get to see them earlier :( oh well i'm seein em at uproar fest, its all good lol

@MdubG yeah but black tide is still in their early stages. They made a big change from the thrashy hair metal sounding first album. It seems that after touring with bands like bfmv they adapted things from their music. I like both albums but they are two different beasts. I like the other album more cuz to me its heavier. This has heavier tone sure but the songs are a bit wimpy and more modern with screaming and stuff. Its not my style =P

Although I'm a big BT fan, the new album is missing something when compared to the first. It seems as though there's a much more somber/mellow vibe to this album. LfA had a lot more party to it. Not saying that's a bad thing, but I look to metal to energize me, not so much to polarize me.

@yoitszackari because all their original fans felt betrayed by the new album and abandoned them. i'm not sure if the first album was their own music, and this isn't or the other way around, but the sound on the albums far to different from what original fans loved, and this is far more main stream sounding, but since there fans weren't from the main stream no one who listens to the radio is requesting this. ironic ain't it?

@TheGman567 the vocals sound like they tried to copy the singer from all that remains, the guitars sound like ATR/ bullet for my valentine (which isn't all that surprising since they had the guitarist from bullet on a song on the album).

if i wanted to go listen to ATR/BFMV, i'd go listen to them. if i want to listen to blacktide i'll go listen to light from above.
