  • Pure merveille.

  • Absolutely lovely. By the way, Zimerman looks line an owl.

  • Ja, das macht einen wirklich glücklich!!!

  • What is happenig at 2.28? hahaha

    Zimerman is brainstorming

  • I only have two words: Absolute perfection.

  • Zimmerman is damn great on that piano. Astonishing performance.

  • Zim, I'll throw my underwear at you. stop!!! I can't take it any longer, please!

  • All the cells in my body woke up and trembled.

  • Zimerman is the best there is.

  • 7:31

  • Seems like almost all the pianism of Chopin is here in this concerto. Beethoven is just much more unforgiving.

  • THIS...IS...SO BEAUTIFUL AND PERFECT. (Tears in the eye...)

  • Absolutely brilliant! I can listen to this all day and not get bored.. His lines is so beautifull everything is connected and crystal clear playing giving him space to make beautifull colours and harmonies.. I could cry only listen to this at home, and imagine watching this live!!! Beethoven u are a true Genius!

  • Anyone notice a similarity between the theme found at 1:11 and his ode to joy theme from his 9th symphony?

  • Zimmerman has such impeccable control! Another power seems to be taking over and guiding his every movement. And Bernstein! Wow. . . what a combination!

  • The embrace at the end between Bernstein and Zimerman says it all.

  • Just can't get enough of Beethoven. :)

  • What a powerful ending.

  • 9:20- Bernstein is enjoing the music with the purity of a child!

  • Chuck Norris rules at the piano too. This is an epic, epic masterpiece. Love the audio quality, kudos!

  • My personal favorite concerto of all time. Zimerman & Bernstein nail the necessary "communication" between the piano and orchestra masterfully.

  • OMG! i love the call and respsone between the piano and the orchestra! its my favourite partttttt!

  • who gave a tumb down?

  • A pleurer!! Vmt magnifique!

  • the ending is so thrilling, it makes me want to jump up and cheer!!! And I love the impulsive hug at the end!

  • 2:23 Extraordinary....

  • @casutal

There is good taste and bad taste. But I agree that saying something is "perfect" implies one is ignorant of other compositions.

  • Wow, so much more rhythmic control than Rubinstein in this interpretation.

  • Brilliant!! Bravo the great orchestra, bravo to this amazing pianist and bravo to this perfect conductor..But most of all Bravo to Beethoven because he gave us this masterpiece of music..

  • 2:37 volume high and Beethoven is sitting at the piano stool. WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL WONDERFUL!!!!!!!

  • He is the best living pianist!!!

  • Perfect and Lenny was MUSIC!!!

  • Here is a lasting testament of the genius of Ludwig Van Beethoven

  • This guy is good!!

He plays this so simple, but so beautiful.

  • Thank you so much for posting this PERFECT interpretation. :)

  • The beauty of the winds at 8:42!

  • every now and then this great great thing lines up - 2 titans get something big exactly right - and the orchestra muscians get perfect too, and everything stops for a while - and i feel so imperfect yet happy to be alive. immortal performance.

  • Superb! Wonderful!

Zimerman is not a pianist, he is a super genius!

At moments I thought God himself plays the piano! Beethoven would be gratified to hear this.....

  • I love how vigorously Lenny shakes Zimmerman's hand at the end. So much power coursing between them!

  • Zimerman is a fucking God. Look at how he dominates the piano - so effortlessly and flawlessly. I love watching him play this.

  • We are in front of one of most important mankind's genius ever for sure: Beethoven!!!!!!

  • Europe listed Beethoven as one of the top ten Europeans of the last thousand years!!!!

  • Perfect!!!

  • Fantastic!

  • Musique-spectacle grotesque.

  • Perfect version
