@MarschallNullpunkt The survivors went to a refugee camp in Baqubah Iraq and from there all over the world. 80,000 started a 1000 kilometer trek and in the end 38,000 survived.
@MarschallNullpunkt It was near the end of WWI the Assyrians have been fighting the Turks waiting to be resupplied but help din't arrive and the Turkish army broke through and a large massacre followed, the survivors fled the city.
My grandmother and her family were in the Exodus (from Geotapa) Urmia. I am trying to find out as much as I can about what life was like for the exiled Assyrians in the camp at Hamadan. Grateful for any help.
My great grandfather was the man who commanded the Assyrian exodus. It's ashame nobody knows about him. He was the commander of the Assyrian army and the actual leader of the nation as it would have been BC. Raphael Khan.
If anybody knows about your grandfather, then sh/s is dead by now. Did your grandfather created a country for us, did he defend against who sent our people into Exodus, everybody say his grandfather was commander. So how many commanders we had. That how our nation is dying, because we are all commanders, we are not servent. What did Jesus say?
You are one of the most...Quote on Quote "Most retarded fucking retarded cunts, I have ever met"...PS: I hope you die of aids for you SHEER idiocy, it's unexplicably shocking.
Hey, milnus the Rain man, didn't I tell you to take your medication everyday? Lay off the U-tube you retard!!!!!! oh yea, K Mart does suck, just like you...... on a big one that is. Look-out everyone!! Rain Man is about to throw his daily fit. Hopefully he's holding two sledge hammers while he's pounding his head. Predictions about milnus the retard's next comments??? ....... many, many four letter words. I think I found me a new source of entertainment
okay youre chopping and changing the topic like a flagrant retard, which most retards do in desperate attempts to reason and also be entertaining, but you FAIL.
milnus, if you are the same milnus that I exchanged few comments with few months ago, then I assume you are still half Assyrian/Chaldean, true? If so, then believe it or not, I am surprised about your respond, but not disappointed. Coming from you, this is almost a compliment. Is it true, are you finally growing-up milnus? If so, I am happy for you son!! now go out there and make your great grand father very proud. besides, he probably gave his live for you and the Assyrian people he commanded.
I think we have the same situation now, we have more parties than any country in the world and our population is just under one million. We are still looking for fame not for service of our people.
this is AMAZING. I had no idea there was video footage of any of this. My family was a part of that exodus from Urmia, not many survived. What a tragedy.
Yes..Yes..and Yes (to the above). The sarcasm in my initial response has alot to do with the fact that you..A Brit have no knowledge of this situation. I certainly don't point a finger of blame at you specifically. The Assyrians fought very bravely for the Brits with the understanding of future support for a homeland. I don't need to tell you what happened next. Hence the fact that Assyrian is nothing more than a byword in British History with no recourse or resititution.
Even today to watch British government deliberate on a safe haven for Assyrians (as if there should be any argument) is outrageous. Unbelievable how quickly they brought it up and then dismissed it and moved on to the next subject. How sad that Christians would treat other Christians in that manner. (I use the term Christian very loosly to describe any government). Once again the Great Assyrian people find themselves offered up on the altar of expediency.
Do some research and you will see that the Assyrians would eat the Gurkhas for breakfast and take your Royal Marines lunch money. The UK is a great country but the Gov. owes a debt to the Assyrian nation. Where is the British Chivalry? Knights Code of Honor?
The Assyrians continue to suffer in Iraq as I am writing this post. The situation for these people is getting worse by the minute and yet the international community refuses to assist them.
This video clip provides a graphic image of human misery and suffering which no written document can capture or describe. The Assyrians have suffered too long and need support for their just case.
This film clip has relevance in 2007 with thousands of Assyrians leaving Iraq because of the rise of fanatical Islam. Many Assyrians churches have been torched, and the list goes on and on and on.
where did this people go when they leave urmia? or did they came to urmia

What I meant was, was the motivation religion or was it a land grab? Was it Muslims just doing what they normally do to non-Muslims?
