After all the incredible things you've done for yourself and all the weight you lost, it really sucks that all these problems have been popping up.. but I know you'll get it all figured out and you'll be happy and healthy. You have my support, girl!!
Im so sorry you are going through this. You do look tired. As for eating the stress hun you have alot on your plate i really dont blaime you. I sure hope things turn around for you. I will keep you in my prayers. Ann
Laura, is this growth reddened or hot to the touch? I was dignosed with an abdominal wall abcess in Jan 2010. I haven't done an update on my vids to talk about it but when I do please check me out! Good Luck!
I dread socialized medicine coming to the U.S., and I'm sorry you're are dealing with this frustration. I'm an RN and I know that when you take iron, it absorbs about 3X AS WELL if you take it with vit. C or something like juice high in vit' C, so you might seriously consider that. Also, most iron deficiencies in women stem from menstruation, so for those menopausal women out there, be careful taking iron.
Wow Laura, words cannot explain how sorry I am to hear all the negative things your going through. Its so sad and I wish that there was some way that things could get better quickly. I hope and pray that you overcome all the obsticles you are currently facing. I'll be thinking of u.
Iron supplement and you have just prompted me to get online and order some NOW! I am so sorry you are suffering right now. Did your iron problems com from sumy not taking any... or do you just not absorb enough?
They came from a mixture of not taking enough and what I was taking didn't absorb. The only number that a doctor had ever given me in terms of a dosage was 100mg of iron plus a multi vit (and whatever iron is in there) and this was 'more than enough' according to him. My new family doctor (who actually has a brain, thank god!!!) has me on 1200mg of iron per day (originally 1000mg but because he wants me to actually absorb the full 1000, we bumped it up a bit to see what would happen) and 1000 mg
Welcome to socialized medicine. Bless your heart. Can you come down to t he States and get someone to review your case? Bring copies of your files? Ultra Sounds? If it is really serious....I know that is expensive...but if you can bring your files and save some expense...just a thought. Good luck. Also, Vit B-12 can really help with the exhaustion. You might ask your doctor.
I think at this point I am going to start requesting to be referred to a blood specialist so that I can get proper care. My new family doctor is really great, but his knowledge is too broad and he doesn't know enough about my particular issues. It's probably time for me to start seeing someone who does so that I can get control of this time before it goes too far.
It's really pathetic how long I have to wait for a simple ultrasound. The surgeon who re-referred me for an ultrasound refused to call on my behalf and bump up my appt because he wouldn't ""cancel CANCER patients' ultrasound appts so that someone with an EXTREMELY MINOR issue could get seen first"" ... Who says that?? Cancer patients? They don't even go to the city ultrasound clinics. They have a specialty hospital just for them. Whatever lol
P.S. Canada's health care system really DOES suck sometimes. Believe me, I know.

You sound like me. I'm thinking I have low iron. Going to start taking it and see if I start to feel any better. I have no energy.
