Very interesting video - I could watch films like this for hours - literally. Much better to see construction being done than [to my way of thinking] boring passenger trains just shuttling to and fro. More of this type of video please!
[Didn't people find the demolition trains films taken of the former S&D a lot more informative/interesting, albeit a somewhat sad thing to watch?]
Thanks for that video, I wondered how they unloaded into the spoil e.t.c, I just hope that apart from the special next week, that this isn't the start of a new Bluebell catering for steam and diesel, as I think this could take from the lines overall character.
No, the Bluebell regard the diesel as a piece of plant, so it`s hired in to cover the spoil trains rather than going on the loco roster, and will be sent back at the end of the hire period (in fact I think it`s already gone).

@colliecandle - I am glad you liked the video. I do try to shoot unusual stuff if I get notice of it (or just get lucky as I did with this clip).

Thanks for a video of an unusual scene!

I wonder what they intend to do with that land. I think that they should install a railway triangle to allow stock to be turned.
PS. Try not to load videos whan your're tired.
