  • I would like to know right now from LAX - HKG, what is the fleet now? Is it STILL 747-400 or did they now changed it to 777-300?

  • how was the flight? turbulent? Im going on that on the 23sept, but a 777-300er

  • I think they should be okay with the camera filming thing during the takeoffs. However on EVA AIR in SFO I was trying to take a picture of another EVA AIR plane and the hottie flight attendant in green uniform told sweetly told me to put it away, and I complied after getting the picture. =) I love these flight attendants

  • That defs is a Boeing 747-400. That's like the only plane they'd fly to LAX or SFO.

They should fly the Boeing 777-300ER to those two places. Does Cathay Pacific have cute flight attendants?

  • Haha, Cathay uses the 777-300ER to fly the Hong Kong to New York JFK via Vancouver route, I think its better for them to stick the LAX and SFO with 747s because there are so many people flying these routes. And Cathay do have a few cute flight attendants haha.

  • One day the 747 is going to be obsolete. Cathay would buy the Airbus A380 if they're rich enough. I never flew CX before, but I heard many good things about the airline. It won a bunch of Skytrax Airline of the Year awards, one of them I know were in 2003.

  • I flew on CX888 HKG-YVR its a 777-300ER

CX 839 YVR-HKG on the old A340-300 for 14 hours !! Its really uncomfortable.

Yes , cathay pacific do have cute flight attendants.

Check out my videos on that :)

  • wat airplane was that 747?

  • Yep, its definitely a 747, its a Boeing 747-400

  • Are you really allowed to film during take off and landing? or do you have to hide it from the crew?

  • Yeah, its allowed, I filmed it without hiding, the crew doesn't mind, it does not interfere with intruments on board.

  • sometimes you get a paranoid cabin crew who want it off but not often

  • We've flown both routes actually. Depends on the weather at the time.

  • was this the new seats configuration ?

  • I looked ont the cathay pacific route map and it said that you fly over hawaii when you go to LA, is it true?

  • Hey, no, I watched the route closely, it flies over Japan, Alaska and the Northern Pacific Ocean.

  • I thought so, when I flew to Shanghai it was the same thing, I don't know why it shows that on their website?

  • im taking it in 4 days :)

  • @o@" I'm going to take this flight (CX884) in the day after tomorrow.
