i remember pee wee's visits on late night as always being hilarious, so it's funny to see these clips all these years later and see how awkward dave was with him. it seems like this clip in 1985, with the success of the movie, is the first time that dave takes pee wee seriously as a comedy genius.

also.. when letterman or any host for that matter DOESNT like the person he has on... he pretends to like it in a professional manner and then NEVER has that person back again... Pee Wee has been on letterman countless times.. they are friends you dinguses

Pee Wee's movie was released in August, 1985, so this is probably still 1985.
