Maybe so, but at the moment I would doubt Canada's interest in being part of the USA. Trade, that I can see, but politically I give better odds on it joining the EU than the USA.
Can't comment on Mexico, but Canada is already part of the Commonwealth so a reunion with the UK isn't out of the question.... that would nicely get it into the EU in a similar way to French Guiana.

The Russians are claiming that the Georgians killed 2,000 civilians in Tskhinvali, but when European AND Russian Human Rights Watch got there and talked to the hospital director, he had received 44 bodies.
Those 44 bodies were not even confirmed to be civilians, nor were they confirmed to be caused by Georgian troops.
Russian military started evacuating South Ossetian villages on Aug. 3. On August 5-6, Ossetians started shelling Georgian towns with 120MM artillery, which started the war.

Both nations are to blame in this conflict. Although Georgia has a right to get their country back together, they should've warned Russia and try to work something out peacfully. Russia, on the other hand, had no right moving that deep into Georgia. They also looted. Georgia also used cluster bombs which was a terrible thing to do.

I thought that the American government was involved in pushing this war. Mccain has someone in his campaign who is a lobbyist for the country of Georgia, what a coincidence. Obama has had 3 folks that worked with Hamas, one he threw under that worked directly with Arafat, got Harvard funding via al Masoud hitting the mosques (see percy sutton vid and al Masoud's vids), he put his relationship with Abullimah on hold... cause he told him he'll do more later, he can't speak on the Palis now, His pockets are full from terror supporters and the radical he just cut loose a month ago. Itis becoming increasingly evident that Georgia cast the first stone in this conflict by attacking Ossetia. One rumor, advanced by Mr. Putin, asserts that the Bush Administration encouraged the Georgian government to carry out the assault, presumably because it would give Senator McCain the opportunity to appear more "Presidential". Obviously, I cannot prove this accusation, but if it is true, it's just more blood on W's hands.
