@cevripidou Gets the same or slightly better gas mileage (51-55 mpg) and sounds about 1000 % better than the stock pipes. When you really get on the gas, people behind you have to hold their ears. I love em!!
@dcguitar357 I'm about 5'10' and pushing 210-220 last time I checked. I like it but that's me. I've had people tell me I need a bigger bike. The Iron is good for 1-2 hour trips. After that, you need a break cause your butt and legs need a good stretch. I just think it's so cool looking. I feel good riding it. It's not too low for sure. But if you see a pothole coming up, it's a good idea to stand up a bit because the shocks are pretty stiff. Hitting a hole will give your spine a jolt.
I have what is probably a silly question. But as newer rider I simply don't know......when you had your local H-D shop install the upgrades, was your bike off warranty? If it was still under warranty - did the fact that H-D did the work keep the warranty active or did it cancel it?Thanks fo the post.
@ImGrampy It was only a couple of months old when I got the pipes so it was still in warranty no doubt. Since the HD dealer did the work, the warranty is still good. If I would have gone to a private shop......not sure. I think if it's a reputable shop, HD certified, warranty would be no issue. But I'd always ask to make sure!!
@msufan8854 I had it installed at my local Harley shop. I got the pipes, an upgraded air breather, and a fuel pak for around $1200 total. Pipes were about $450, fuel pak was $400+ and the breather made up the difference. Good thing about the fuel pak is that it doesn't stay on the bike. They reprogram your fuel system and take it off, so you don't have to find a place to hide it like some of the other brands make you do. Lot of money but it sounds way better than the stock pipes.
@soul111smasher I'm no grease monkey, but I was told that you should. I've seen other people say they didn't but who knows. I didn't want to screw my bike up or the warranty so I went with it. I don't know how it would have run if I didn't do the breather/fuel pak. If the fuel/air mix isn't right, it can hurt the engine. So I played it safe.
@HungarianBullet17 Sorry. haven't checked this in a while. I love the Iron. Fun to ride and looks much cooler than the bigger bikes with saddlebags, etc. I'm gonna keep the 883 and not go to 1200 cc. 883 is plenty fast enough for me.
This bike is sweet. Love the pipes

Very cool bike. How do you like it? Any thoughts on 1200 conversion kit? Like the skull fuel cap by the way.
