I love both grunge and The Fastbacks, but I wouldn't classify them as a grunge band... more like the kind of garage/pop/punk sound that Seattle pioneered and that preceded grunge by quite a while (these guys formed in 1979).

first of all Grunge was also punk in a way, and it had a lot of punk ethics in it, and second of all, SUB POP put the Fastbacks on the SUB POP 200 compilation tape, which embraced most of the GRUNGE bands from that era (1987/88)

Why such anger? Who gives a shit? When I think of Punk I damn sure don't think of this band. They were influenced by Punk and other music. They had a Pop Punk sound... not Hard-Core Punk sound like Misfits, Black Flag, Circle Jerks, Minor Threat, Bad Brains, etc.

Yep, he wasn't in the band long but he was on this single and the B-side at age 14 in 1979.
