If you are referring to this vid, I believe the maker was more inspired by the old G.I. Joe safety ads of the 1980s (which also the Transformers did as well). But, as for the movie- and I am assuming that you are inquiring, were they inspired by the Generation 1 Bumblebee to make the new Bumblebee- the answer is partially yes. BB originally was a VW Beetle, where as movie BB was a Camero.

I just ment in the movie whenever Bumblebee spoke he always did it with a song. This kinda reminds me of it and of course the GI Joe safety ads.
