  • How come your first tone is F and not E? I suppose there a tone shift in your recording.

  • Lovely! One of my favorites. Thank you!

  • slightly out of synch @the end like josefgiven says but all is forgiven as I love this tune and you play it very well. I have just ordered a whistle and I aspire to play like you some day - keep up the great playing.

  • very nice

  • every time you make a new video , it inspires me to get out my tin whistle and practice. could you do michale prestons reel ?

  • Awesome :)

  • You're cool, just what I was looking for, thanks a lot!

  • ah, and good interpretation :D

  • anyone know if eluveitie based on this tune for Tegernako Song?

i know all irish music have a Distinctive feature , but this Specifically remind me to eluveitie song O_o

  • @erick0992 Yes, Eluveitie use a variety of traditional songs as a basis for their folk instrumentation. Both great songs :)

  • It sounds good, but do you really playin it??

Its not synched with your movement...

  • You wish you can play it like it sounds but you dont...

Not synch with your finger your breath and everything...

  • I know this song off by heart, but this clip takes it to a new level. Well done Ryan.

  • amazing man

  • 0:12 lol

  • Does this remind anyone else of "Denis Ryan's" aka "The Cock and the Hen"?

  • How long have you been playing?

And also you play beautifully five stars my friend.

  • Love this song! I'm gonna learn to play it.

  • is that whistle a common D GENERATION? sounds amazing

  • I think it might be a e flat whistle.

  • Yup, that is an Eb whistle.

It is a generation nickel-plated shaft with an O'Riordan top combination, though.

  • Thank you, programmers of Youtube, for recommending this excellent video! Ryan has a new subscriber:)

  • I love this tune!

  • The video is slightly out of synch with the audio.

  • Ryan, do you have a CD out?

  • There should be a Ryan Duns vs TinWhistler showdown! Haha, or maybe the both of you should get together and make an awesome video!

  • Yea they should really do that.. play together! =)

  • Definitely!

  • Slip jigs are 9/8 time, double jigs (the most popular) and single jigs are 6/8 time.

    Nice tune!

  • ...what does that mean? xD does the 9/8 mean 9 beats out of 8? but how would that work...?

  • 9 eighth notes per measure

  • I wanted to ask..... You use some reverb or this is the original sound? Because is beautiful.

  • Im gonna geuss he added some reverb to this. It really brings out magic in his playing, doesn't it?
