Obama is a Socialist. With higher taxes, a bigger gov't and redistributions he will bring socialism to the US and strip us of our freedoms. Socialism is a violation of human rights We have a right to what we earn. His ideas are backward looking, anti-progressive, and have long been discredited throughout history. *10/2/02 Obama gives speech opposing war

*2003 Runs for Senate; removes speech from his website.

*7/26/04 BO tells NY Times that he doesn't know how he would have voted (re.war)

*7/27/04 BO tells Chicago Trib. re. war "there is not much difference between my position and George Bush's position at this stage."

*1/13/05 Barack tells Condi Rice he is "rooting for success" in Iraq.

good comment, but there's a difference between supporting a war before it happens, and supporting it while it's happening. the former is a judgment call, the latter is half political strategy, half patriotism. your facts only seem to suggest that he is a skilled politician who knows how to support his nation, even when its leaders make a decision he doesn't agree with.

I have read some of White House for Sale stuff. I do not see Obama as one of them. I did not even see Hillary as one of them, because she spoke up on the Dubai port deal. I have since read that hubby Bill is also involved, like the Bush and Cheney clan in that. Was his absence really that conspicuous? Personally, I think it was wise for him not to attend at this point in the race, mainly because certain interest groups and factions of certain parties will be ready to twist the words of some radical at the convention, i.e. Farrakhan, and attribute them to Obama.
