  • Martin had a unique style and was totally into the technical showman ship back then he invented many tricks of which modern day riders do with out even thinking about it Dennis was inventor of rolling tricks he had then dialed before anyone knew how big rolling tricks would be but most important they just rode and had fun that is what is is all about anyway.

  • I remember being at this event.. Martin was my hero back then :) The pro's came street riding that night with us locals.... Good times.

  • Martin "The Chairman" Aparijo Awsome!!!!!!!

  • martin was an awesome rider. he was underrated and never got the full recognition he deserved.

  • I think Martin Aporijo has plenty of talent. He is one of the guys that got me into ridding. If it was'nt for ridding evolvement we wouldn't know how to compare.

  • Great stuff! Miss the whole 1980's scene.

  • He came from that age of showmanship, not so much raw talent. All that flashy dance quality movement was cool in 85 but I'd say this was at the edge of change when it came to flatlanding. Dennis' riding was much more influential .

  • This is the guy in the opening credits to Rad

  • awesome

  • I know Martin invented the "cherry picker" but his run in this event was flat. Eddie and Dennis looked the best out of the videos I've seen.

  • Pretty Slick! I never got to see Him or the team ride back when it was big.

  • I was a big fan of him in the 80's. Is that some Taylor Dane he is riding to? hehe

  • dewd...that was some tough competitive action..what a showman

  • go to my channel there is a link to get free skate element gear

  • Love that, 5 seconds, yeah I've got time for a double decade !

  • Remember the first time i pulled a cherrypicker on my pro ferformer. That was a great day!!

  • Nah, because some 70's roller derby would be fucking awsome!

  • Whether or not English is his first language, he sure has "being a douchebag" figured out!

  • im very impressive with this video ,,,,

  • English is not your first language I'm guessing?

  • @Fenton1007 I have a feeling that your chances of ever getting laid ended a long time ago, as in before you were born. Shut up you dumb piece of shit, flatland is still going strong and you have no clue what you are talking about. I doubt you could even pop a wheelie. Kind of ironic that you are posting text about something you have no knowledge of eh shithead? Go back under your rock of stupidity.

  • martin had a clean style, funny to see him doing those rolling tricks with that showmanship inserted, lol,I never saw him do a hang five before,ah,taylor dayne,he had the complete 80's package, but right then and there, the flatland world had changed, and the hoods were rolling in...I love how he rides out of the locomotive, classic martin, lol, with a little cancan and all, funny thing is most people thought of martin back then as an old rider, and he must have been 24,which is a young rider today...

  • i learned alot from this video. Search Fst bmx old school freestyle or just check out my profile.

  • Martin was an absolute MASTER at flatland freestyle! I've seen him ride in june '86,these are memories that stick with you. The name of the song is 'Prove your love' by Taylor Dane.

  • Holly s%&t! I was at this contest.... My favorite rider back in the day...

  • Awesome run! And he did a pedal picker with a freewheel! Nice vid.

  • Martin was usually known for doing clean runs, what happened here? Yikes..

  • Not a good run for him there, lots of touches. Good vid though, ty.
