The idea of nature is a romantic falsity. Our culture's way of life is on this earth, as every other species'. The difference is in the story we enact. Our culture's is of humans being born to conquer the earth, and the earth existing to support us in any endeavor.

Leaf-cutter ants and termites farm their own fungus, Damselfish grow algae and even attack species that come to close to their farms, I could list more. Technology existed before H. habilis. Great-apes, birds, and many other species utilize technology, you are simply misguided.
Yes, our culture is terribly inefficient and will collapse soon.
