  • Please let us ignore the fact that there is a pool table in the Hall of Justice. I am with Robin..."That was an AMAZING feat!" Batman knocked ALL the balls in on the freaking BREAK! REALLY?

  • God...they're all shouting!

  • @nonner33

YOU ARE RIGHT! WHY ARE THEY SHOUTING!!! SHEESH! I am sure this cartoon was made before surround sound. I think it was call Hi-Fidelity back then. Our choices were "Stereo or Mono" So they had to shout.

  • Aquaman & Wonder Woman keep shouting at each other. Now I feel like shouting.

  • They're all so... perky. It's frightening.

  • Wow, I never knew Wonder Woman could fly in this series!!

  • Aquaman was just going in for a kiss @1:56 lol

  • while the power pilot is leaving....

Batman: "Superman, can you actually do that?

Superman: "Not a chance in hell, Batman"

  • @metaserve LOL yeah, that's pretty crazy.

  • If WW is flying the plane mentally, why does Aquaman hold the sticks ?

  • @juliewashere88 They have to give him SOMETHING to do.

  • I really like how they did Wonder Woman tossing in the water. That bit of animation was so cool.

  • Now Im Confused?? I always Thought The Power Pirate Episode was the one where the superfriends get a call about a train rolling backwards down a hill.. its totallt unlike this episode ?? ANYBODY KNOW ??

  • Why does Aquaman get to fly HER plane?

  • @LL45 because is a man..hahaha

  • hey adzflicks, you should use the dvd remasters for these eps, as they look cleaner than the vhs transfers, which are 16mm.

  • what the address of the dam? LOL :XD

  • 4:46 "DEDIGATION" .. = fucktard writers. lol

  • 0:18 LOL, Superman's got an acoustic modem. Also, Batman sank the cue ball, so Robin wins that game. Does the sight of Superman hauling around the Batmobile like a trophy remind anyone that the rest of the JLA exists solely to deal with Kryptonite-based villains?

  • Robin: Yo! Bat Beeyach! You Hustl'n me Mutha Fu....?

Batman: Eeeeasy BOY....Pool is a St8 up Man's game! Now go wash the bat mobile, B4 I take off my bat belt & gets to whoop'n on dat punk ass.

Robin: Who da F&@% you think you talk'n 2? I got yo "punk ass" right here! Bring it on!

Aquaman: HEY! Cut it out you 2....How many times do......

Robin: Stay outta this waterboy! I will GUT you like the fish F%@$ing degenerate that you are!

Apache Chief: Yo! Yal calm down & hit dis peace pipe

  • busy fighting the current of the water when they could have simply flown into the opening

  • Aquaman is a wussy even on these old episodes. They shouldve had black manta kick his ass on the later episodes

  • I was a kid during the 80s and for some reason the early Superfriends with those kids and the dog were never shown in reruns. Only the later ones with the Wonder Twins and the Legion of Doom. I'm seeing these for the first time.

  • @Baldenlong77 Would've been nice if the Legion Of Doom got rid of the Wonder Twins. Then they would do all of us a favor. So annoying, Challenge/SuperPowers Team & I think Superfriends The Legendary Super Powers Show are WT Free.

  • @CaptainBuckRogers I don't think the Wonder Twins are in this episode.

  • @Horticultural1 That's right. The Wonder Twins appear later in the series.

  • I enjoying watching this clip when i was kid i love to watch superfriends thats before ipods and pc and mobile never thought of back in the 70s

  • I'd hate to play anything against Batman... He's just not fair!

  • My favorite episode is the one where they travel back in time and defeat the Hanna-Barbarians!!!!

  • Finally we get to see WW use her powers and not just the lasso or plane!

  • @PlutoPlanetPower yes very strange!

  • @PlutoPlanetPower Yeah...but she needs a tan

  • Now I get it Hal of Justice League

  • But why is Aquaman piloting the plane?

  • A pool table in the Hall of Justice?

  • I wanted to see superman walk the walk and turn the planets moon into a glass reflector. Whats up with that? They skipped right over it. Guess we'll have to use our imagination.

  • Pretty good limited animation for the first episode of the series. The ecological "propaganda" was part of the socially responsible themes of the original Superfriends series. During the early 1970's the networks, under criticism from parents and psychologists, tried to incorporate educational themes and less violence into their animated shows... with mixed results, as these posts indicate.

WW also used her full powers in "Superfriends: The Legendary Super Powers Show" in 1984-85.

  • I think the one that posted this video exaggerated a bit by saying, 'Wonder Woman flies unaided'. All she did was leap upwards a few times.

True flight includes controlling movements while hovering and/or moving in a single or various direction(s) in a sustained manner. She does nothing of the sort. Aquaman actually leaped or "flew" farther out of water in the "May Day" video--and that was while swimming.

  • Maybe so--even if AdzFlickz may have exaggerated a little in the video description, it was still fun to watch, and that's what really matters.

  • There is no 'maybe' about it--WW didn't fly under her own power in this video. I do, however, agree with you that the cartoon was always fun to watch.

  • Wow, I was stunned at the propaganda (conservationists: good; people who use lots of power, bad) aimed at...me! I used to watch the Super Friends in the 70s but never knew there was a targeted message disguised as "just getting along" as super friends.

  • Wendy and Marvin looked like belonged in the Scooby Doo episodes. They were completely out of place with the Super Friends.

  • Wow, I don't think I ever saw this one--I rarely saw Super Friends WW using WW's full powers. She usually was just a lady with a lasso.

  • how can WW see her transparent plane?

  • It was transparent, but not invisible. Although it was dubbed the Invisible Airplane/Jet later in the series, it was still transparent.

On a side note, on the WW live-action series (Lynda Carter), the plane also was transparent. I believe her mother said it was made transparent as a camoflage.

  • Doesn't transparent mean that you can pass through an object, or it just light that is allowed to pass through the object? But really how can Wonder Woman see the controls on her transparent plane?

  • Wonder Woman is an Amazon. She can see the controls which appear transparent to her and invisible to mortals. I think inside the plane there is a switch to make the outside invisible. The point of the plane is stealth I believe.

  • @TruthIsKnown hi how are you rember when wonderwoman was captuard by the robot cow boy or when she fellin the bowl of milk write back your friend generalhawk1 what do you think of wondergirl ihave wonderwoman for my cellphone back ground idream and think of her and wondergirl every night

  • Excellent! I loved the background music of the original series! It had so much flavor and depth with the bass and sax.

WW and Aquaman were more powerful in this first series than any that followed in the late 70's and early 80's. Both showed more super-strength and WW's full powers were on display.

I liked Aquaman's voice in this one better, too. It made him seem more regal and sure of himself--unlike that of the lame, more timid-sounding voice he ended up with later on.

  • But he wasn't as OUTRAGEOUS as the Brave and the Bold version!

  • The music was most likely composed and arranged by Hoyt Curtin, the longtime Hanna-Barbera music director. Along with Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera, he created virtually all of the classic H-B theme songs, including The Jetsons, Jonny Quest, The Flintstones and Top Cat.
