  • Are you serious? The electric control modules failed. How could that ever be the consumers fault?

  • Can someone produce a video of a stuck accelerator? I have searched and never found one. We live in a time where cameras are everywhere. I find it hard to believe out of all these complaints not one person was able to put the car in neutral and video the pedal stuck. I work for Toyota and everyday people come in with multiple floor mats folded under their pedals. Just the other day a customer came in for the 90l recall and had 5 mats in the car. One being a home welcome mat. This recall is tota

  • toyota accepted that the componants they used were faulty...enuf said

however, i do think ppl r incompetent fools for crashing due to a stuck gas...really, ppl u shudnt b driving if u dont know how to get out of such situations, put the tranny in to neutral and then brake. and althought Toyota is at fault, idiots try to reproduce the faults and crash then sue the company for money. they really got nothing better to do with life...

  • Lets see the reports from NASA aobut this problem... They say its not the ELECTRONICS.... Truth is it is..... Toyota gots 3 laptops that can access ALL the info on the car compared to what the avg mechanic has to use.... 2 r in japan n only 1 is in the US n thats in Cali.... All cars come with black boxes n ONLY HONDA & Toyota has RESTRICTIONS on WHO can access the info.... TOYOTA knows damn WELL its in the ELECTRONICS.... Create a short n watch it accelerate

  • @Thegreatjoker13 Truth is, I call bullshit on you. NASA had complete access to the electronics system in all of the Toyotas. Before you assume things, get your facts straight, cuz when you assume, you make an ASS out of U and....well actually your just making an ass of yourself. "Toyota Motor Co. has also provided NASA software engineers with "unrestricted access" to the computer code used to control the electronic throttle control systems." Straight from CNN

  • @GneshGnesh2837 ok give me ALL the paperwork n videos n websites that SHOW this... Media is full of shit.... Im NOT making an ass out of my self like u guys r n have been doin since TOYOTA got caught with their pants down.... Look at the RUNAWAY cars n u will see TOYOTA #1 (1 in 25k) in that report with FORD 3rd i think it said while GM has thee best record 1 in 250k... So plz take ur head out of ur ass n see TOYOTA for what it really is... Give me the websites n try to prove me wrong...

  • @Thegreatjoker13 so i guess you have no rebuttal to that, huh?

  • Driver error. I have a Prius and have never had a moments trouble with it.

  • its how you keep your cars and talking about TOYOTA !!!... its just keeps on going on and on never stops...

  • toyota is not to blame i have a 2010 Toyota Corolla and it doesn't have a problem people just want money from toyota

  • Toyotas are great cars end of story......and this is whole hoax is typical crap thats expected from our media

  • may be now NASA got the secret technology off from toyota which usa's going to steal. saw a news that talks about the media bashing was wrong. really that's propaganda too so GM and form won't suffer same thing if they have faults.

  • Anyone thats taking there own risk as well as others lives, should know how to properly control and operate there specific vehicle in normal function and in preparation for the unavoidable. What if this were a mothers son with a gun and thinks its okay to point it at his face with the safety on? Is it the maker of the guns fault? Or the Mothers? Cars are dangerous! So are guns!

  • What people do not realize is every Toyota is equipped with a black box. Prius's go way over 90MPH this is so very Fake. After the Feds checked out the readings on the black box, charges were dropped. Fancy that!

  • I was in a runaway Lexus ES300, and I can tell you the problem of unintended sudden acceleration does exist.

  • @He101A No you where not...and no it does not... you made that up.

  • @buck65100 Dismiss it at your own peril.

  • @He101A funny, ES300 wasnt involved in the recall you fucking dumbass. Lexus stopped making the ES300 around 03 or 04. Then they moved to the 330 (3.3l) now theyre at the 350 (3.5l). ES350 was the only one in the recall. I cant believe how many people there are like you trying to diminish toyotas rep like that. its actually quite sad and pathetic.

  • THERE IS NO ACCELERATION PROBLEM !!!!!!!!!!!! If you hit the brake (the one on the left you WILL stop... If you hit the gas (the one on the right) you WILL go.. the trick is not to confuse the two !! This happens in ALL make's of car's!!!!!!!

  • @buck65100 I 100% agree with you on this Toyota did not purposely put as said in the video put faulty pedals in their cars to save money

  • The acceration problem was caused by a faulty american made accelerator pedal. I witnessed a news broadcast that mentioned the prius has an american made accelerator pedal that sticks. This same pedal is installed in GM models which were also being recalled for the same problem. It was determined that moisture causes the contact points in the pedal to stick. A faulty american made pedal was the problem. I haven't lost any faith in the quality of craftsmanship that goes into Toyotas.

  • if its the consumer problem may appear obviously not only on toyota even in other company cars as well, commonsense.

  • @realmofgamers 日本と自分の車長のような

  • @realmofgamers it appeared in Audi in the 80s and small complaints of BMW in 2010

  • Who cares?

  • Oh it's definitely driver error, if not CTS' fault for making the pedals out of plastic. If you don't listen to the recall bulletins, and shift into neutral, or brake strongly, you're probably too dumb to deserve to be alive.

  • THE AMERICAN CONSUMER!!!

    This only happens in AMERICA!!!

    COINCIDENCE??????????????

  • toyota

  • @DhanShirian because you're american and hates everything that's not american.

  • @toyotaprius79 : I am Canadian. I have no personal issue with Toyota. All I care is consumer safety. Check this out. type in youtube . c o m before this link watch?v=aiIxwMb1SwE&feature=grec_index

  • @toyotaprius79 : One more for you. Hope this will finally make you realize the actual fact. :) The CEO of Toyota admits his company's fault. What more can we ask for? :) watch?v=OIHgB6GHTwQ&feature=related

  • they didn't know, they got their on board trip computers from Microsoft Windows.

  • Driver error. Some drivers are too dumb to control their car after they step on the gas..then they blame the car..it's like having a DELL computer..some customers blame that the cd tray is always defective..after investigation and replacement 99% of the damage was cause by putting a mug or a cup of coffee on an open cd tray!..dumb americans,, no wonder they outsource your technical support to Indians..

  • well americans are significantly less intelligent (only SOME people) and these issues seem to be happening a lot more in america than other places.. i blame the consumers. our toyota runs perfectly normal. nothing wrong with it so i think some are defective (they can't be perfect) and consumers aren't perfect either and they accelerated when they were trying to brake is my opinion about this

  • ...

  • I'm positive some people are in this for the money, it's human nature. What about the 89 people who died because of this though? Are they just in it for the money as well?

  • It's both. Here's at least the reason Toyota.

    1. If people press the throttle they think they press the brake, why does it only happens in Toyota's cars?

    2. Over 50 people have died in accidents where the car has been accelerated uncontrollable. Why should they accelerate on purpose and commit suicide? Do they think they'll receive money from Toyota AFTER they're dead?

    3. Newer cars like the Prius has an advanced computer system, and the car's vital parts depend on the software being glitch-free

  • @k3bab

    4. What caused some people to pretend that the car's out of control?

Now I can address some of the reasons why it might be the consumer's fault:

    1. In America suing is a part of daily life.

    2. Outside America there's been very few cases in unintended acceleration, which means the cars sold there might be a little different than the cars sold in America. For example here in Norway there's a guy who's been blaming Toyota for unintended acceleration. ...

  • @k3bab He said that he had to push the side of the car into the fence stop the car, but on the pictures there were just light damages on it. While the service investigated his car he got a new one which was also a Prius. He claimed that the same thing happened again. If that doesn't increase the suspicion at him, his previous car was found on sale, posted just days before the accident happened. Also, the service guys couldn't find anything wrong on it, making him on really thin ice.

  • It's all BS.

  • I WORK FOR TOYOTA IT IS THE CONSUMER!!!

  • People trying to get money. There is some very compelling evidence that shows that people were just getting out of a ticket or to get some cash. America's drivers look for someone to blame and sue when they get into a crash and don't look at themselves. Also, the news reported on Toyota hiding unintended acceleration problems...that occurred in the 70's, the news just twisted it!

  • @MacX1993M Also, there has NEVER been a car who's brakes couldn't overpower the engine and a car which wouldn't stop if in neutral!

  • $.$.$.

  • I think it is the consumer my Family has always owned toyota's and we have never had problems.

  • Maybe TOYOTA gets more admiration from the world though TOYOTA is NOT technology leader. GovernmentMotors should say sorry to TOYOTA owners and to people who was killed by their blond jokes.

Why James Psychos and Wonder Smile are innocent under their law? Do you know GovernmentMotors have many nukes?

  • Toyota will probably put more effort into : knowing their audience when communicating in the future and tailoring communication accordingly!

  • That is why Toyota did not comply with the American need for transparency and accountibility on an immediate basis. Not because the company did not feel responsible, but due to its cultural heritage of saving face among others. Americans are not wrong to expect accountability, Japanese are not wrong in "saving face"......it's simply their way of life respectively! So communication went wrong due to cultural differences...

  • I think it's the culture differences between the US and Japan that are to blame! Americans expect organisational accountability in the form of rapid responses from organisations whenever a problem arises . The Japanese culture is among others characterised by the concepts of "harmony" and "saving face", for instance Lawyers are not really necessary in Japan.

  • Down with toyoda, toyoda sucks!!

  • It is all Bull. End of.

  • It's all B.S. You see all the lawsuits takes place in this country. As long as GM is still run by the government, Toyota will always have problems.

  • The Japanese hate hippies too. They're just trying to do america a favor.

  • You are crying for Attention, and I agree with others "Your to Blame"

  • It's you

  • Back in 2004, oil experts, veteran mechanics, and Toyota owners were discussing the premature break down of the engine oil in Toyotas on two major Toyota complaint sites (one site had over 10,000 postings). Then, one of the sites was HACKED and went down. The other site went down at roughly the same time, too! Interesting!! Toyota has been hiding plenty!!

  • Who cares. I don't drive a Toyota. I could care less. @subeefan Well you called me a dumb American so I don't feel the least bit bad about calling you a dumb Canadian. JOKE :P I apologize to the good Canadians.

  • I blame George Bush.

  • there was japans very large company called Yukijirushi a milk product company. one day they produced contaminated milk and few people got sick but on one was seriously illed. next day every products they make were out of market and shortly after that the company went bankrupt. this is how sensitive Japanese consumer. Toyota or any major Japanese companies would never intentionally place faulty parts.

  • I would like to blame the highly failing and very stupid American public, seeing this problem is American only just shows how intelligent the people really are. If you cant stop a car without control of the engine, please sell your car and get on the bus with all the other morons.

  • Just take the damned car out of gear if the accelerator gets stuck.

  • It's all bull my friend. This is all overhyped and government/media driven to take a stab at a competitor car company. I'm not saying it's some conspiracy, yes the the floor mats were bad, but from there on going to the pedals and now the on board computer? They are just looking to rape this company with unproven claims from the american people driving them.

One good question and answer this anyone, has anyone SEEN a depressed STUCK pedal?????? The bs is in the air and you all took it

  • @Batmanshack

Thats right on the nail....its american competitor car company´s who is afraid of the Toyota quality....all is set up.

The car can ALWAYS be forced to a stop, no matter whats wrong.

  • Please verify the safety recall numbers at the NTHSA website, it's run by the same people who own General Motors and Chrysler, your government USA.

Where is the out rage, over 30,000 death due to drunks, reckless and negligent drivers?

12,000 safety recalls with Government own auto companies vs 669 recalls for Toyota

  • i will tell you who to blame for this .... george w bush ......so now ... send more troops to iraq :-DDDDDDD

  • i'm going to blame the donut fueled, chubby host for wasting 0:43 seconds of my valuable toyotaless day.

  • it's the MEDIA!

  • Drive By Wire is a bad idea.

Throttle, brakes, steering, and gearshift should remain simple mechanical linkages.

NEVER place your life under the control of a fallible and remorseless robot.

So to your question- it's consumers' fault for not boycotting brands with DBW.

  • @joebfftspllkkk

Ohhh, yeah..so you never fly ?

  • US drivers and greedy lawyers, first to fall is James Sikes the California "runaway prius" guy, oh right he is 800,000 dollars in debt.

  • Stupid americans, don't ever drive a car again! EVAR! Take the bus

  • prius was sold all over the world.

why only american consumers are having problem?

  • atmark666: You raise a great question, and I've got answers for you: In America, money is God, which precedes EVERYTHING else, such as conscience and honesty. And the majority of people are so gullible and plain stupid that they believe everything they see and hear from the media because they can't think for themselves and/or are able to gather the correct info on their own to make the right judgment. Yes, the masses are indeed sheep in this country.

  • because they must be the only ones stupid enough not to think to put it in neutral if this happens.

  • @atmark666 Also because only the Toyota's that were made in the USA had the acceleration problem. The American operation managers could probably care less unlike the Japanese managers. However, what GM ( Government Motors) fails to release is that deaths to their own faults due to inefficient testing and trying to save money is way more than the deaths caused by this single Toyota issue. Toyota doesn't pick on Government Motors so why should GM pick on Toyota?

  • @atmark666 Every one is and almost every new car is having problems, VW Polo, Kia Rio to Volvo.

  • @atmark666 I THINK THE SAME THING!!!! This is all just a big hoax.

  • @atmark666 because all america sucks

  • How about the media? And the competitors? Toyota makes cars,

    Consumers drive cars,

The media directs the traffic of the consumer's money,

And the competitors throw dirt at their rival.

    Everybody is in it.

  • @euromann12

lol. the competitors. of coars they will take advantage of toyotas slip, but toyota would do the same to their competitors.

us manufacters thinking to become number 1: dont screw our customers

toyotas way to number 1: dont let our customers know when we screw them.

  • consumers! take the bus like cressida said

  • ITS ALL BS... American drivers are just trying to find someone to blame for their mistakes... If you can't drive take the bus...
