how powerful is the laser? I want to get some sort of laser to go with my smoke machine for parties in marquees/houses but my only worry is about hurting people's eyesight - would you have to point this away from people, or could you have it shining down on the dancefloor? With such a wide angle it has it'd be difficult to keep it pointing directly away from people.
What about the proper lasers too, like the cheaper Ekho ones - would they be dangerous? Thanks
im building a new light rig for super mobile stuff so I dont need any DMX gear. How would 2 of these lights do with a strobe and American DJ Nucleus LED?
@Pauliticiann Sounds nice :) You don't have to have DMX control, only if you want to program the lights youself. otherwise just leave them in sound active. I would suggest looking at the ADJ micro series instead of this. the ADJ stuff is much better built
hi, i was watching your numark mixtrack video and had to follow this link, i just got a mixtrack and was going to stick some tacky lights to it like the ones you get for your car :) but this lazer is pretty ko0l, is it actually filling the whole room? if so i may as well buy these instead of a giant lazer beam.
@staruponurgrave I am actulary selling this laser on ebay as I no longer have a use for it in my setup. It depends of course on the distance from the object you are projecting. It does give a very nice wide output for its price. If you want to find out about the one I am selling check out my youtube channel and the video there has the link in it
hi, i have just got one and it makes the sqeeling sound too.
i know why becouse the fan on the back the fins are rubbing against the fans frame, what i did was to take the four grub screws that hold the bak plate then gentley put a small flat blade srewdriver between the fin mount and fan case do this only sligtly, then put back together, switch on hey no more sqeeeeeking!
@jameswcrofts I think you have a different sound. I just used a paperclip to stop the fan spinning and the noise is from the motor for the laser itself. Not from the fan. Joseph
@bmxjosh456 Its a free track from American DJ. go to the american DJ site and at the bottom of the home page on the left hand side there is an image which says American DJ music tracks. Click there and it is one of the songs in the list. Joe
@chris141294 I am taking it to a gig this friday so will truly find out then. It is well constructed apart from the noisy motor and it gives a 100mw output which is good. Unfortunately it is to powerful to shine straight into the audience so can only be used a overhead projection. I would say it is definitely worth the money I paid for it. Joseph
