@ronjcestos Al's pretty decent. Another place that had really good beefs was Carms on the south side of Roosevelt just east of Harlem.

this is my great uncle johnnie's place. since he is my uncle i always thought it was called UNCLE JOHNNIE'S, though i was little. He's so nice but doesn't work there anymore. :(.....

Is Johnnie's the best beef place in all of Chicago? This is definately true. I moved from Chicago in 96 to the south and every year that I've come home I've eaten an italian beef, double dipped with peppers almost every single day. Those who have not tried them must do so. Hell of a sandwich!!!!!!!
