The Democratic Party was the party of Jim Crow, segregation, lynching and the Ku Klux Klan. My wife is a black Republican and really loved your presentation until that cheep shot.
All religious doctrines are twisted to suit the needs of the leaders. In the case of the Mormons, they conveniently used a "vision", from god to justify the rape of young girls. What utter bullshit. I think a lot of women saw through that, but were too afraid to protest. All religions use that kind of excuse to justify whatever actions they want to take. If it is sanctified by their beliefs, then it is okay to rape and murder. Atheists don't have that handy excuse to fall back on.
hmm I've been challenged by my Mormon family to present evidence that: 1) There is no historical evidence to support Mormonism. 2) That Joesph Smith is a con man. 3) Also to go back a couple times and see how you feel about it. will do the third only because I need to rebuilt some of the social network that I used to have To find a job. and other possible ways to make money
Hey Atheists, what have you done today to help your neighbor?
Hey Atheists, have you ever done a body count for the 20th century? Your kind killed more than all the religious wars in history combined. Shall I break out the quotes from your beloved Chairman Mao?
@Synth3t1cs Go ahead and break out the quotes- no amount of quoting or commenting can change the bloody history of Christianity. It's bullshit for you to say that "their kind" has killed more than Christianity ever has because Christianity is STILL killing people, and has been for the last thousand years or so. Don't believe me? What exactly do you call it when a bunch of Christian nutcases gun down an abortion provider and some nurses, hm? Or when they beat a gay man to death in an alley?
@LadyMahala "Christianity" is still killing people? Your examples are a bit ridiculous and you're obviously angry and probably a bigot. That's unfortunate.
If you actually knew anything about Christianity, then you would know that Jesus would have never approved of the the horrors committed in his name. In fact, those horrors are the direct opposite of his teachings. You could almost say they were "anti christ."
@Synth3t1cs "Thou shall not suffer a witch to live" is a passage in the Christian bible. Children in Africa are being abandoned, exorcised, and killed, because their family members think they are witches. Your bible encourages these misconceptions.
Most non-believers are very familiar with the bible; often, it is the very reason they BECOME non-believers.
@articulett That's actually from the old testament. Christianity changed all of the hard stuff. As Christ said to the adultress , "go and sin no more." He sparred her life, and that's because, in his mythology, his sacrifice covers a great deal of sin.
Basically you're an ignorant bigot with little knowledge of religion or the diversity of beliefs found within. You still haven't proven your claim that Christianity is still "killing people," and at this point you sound like a mentally ill loon
@Synth3t1cs simply google - africa christian witch - and maybe if you opened your eyes you'd notice there's an entire continent of Christians full of "corrective rape" and "witch hunts" and "holy wars."
@TeresielMF Again, you're just running around in circles. Jesus would have never have supported any evils done in his name. If you actually knew anything about religion, you would understand what I'm saying is true.
And since you're so hung up on witches I'm assuming you're into the occult, which means your life is already cursed.
@Synth3t1cs "Hey Atheists, have you ever done a body count for the 20th century? Your kind killed more than all the religious wars in history combined. Shall I break out the quotes from your beloved Chairman Mao?"
Lol, and you called someone else a bigot. That would be funny for both of us if only you'd understand the concept of irony.
I'm an ex Mormon but cannot help likening this gathering to the great and spacious building with those mocking and pointing their fingers in scorn at the Mormons.
A Mormon told me; "if The Book of Mormon is false, we have no religion".
Guess what? You have no religion.
Mormons buy new converts. A man from Africa studying with Jehovah's Witnesses for over a year, became a baptized Mormon in a few days, because they agreed to fly his family to the US.
Many men only became Mormons because of marrying Mormon women.
The Mormons helped to start Las Vegas gambling, Mormons and the Mob.
By the way everyone, please watch the documentary about Mormon influence in marriage equality policy in California, 8: The Mormon Proposition. A Jihad for Love is a very good and similar type of documentary.
As an x Mormon who has witnessed and been through some seriously messed up things at the hands of the mormon church, I thank you for posting this video.
The Book of Mormon was somehow translated by magic stones from the original "Reform Egyptian" into the archaic Jacobean English of the KJV. Now, with the original sources (the magic golden plates) spirited away to heaven or wherever, no updated English version will ever be possible.
Why couldn't the magic stones have translated the "Reform Egyptian", at least, into the American English of the early nineteenth century spoken by Smith?
@faircompetition1 The same way all churches do it, by being churches. It doesn't matter how false your claims and beliefs are, what matters is that you're a religion. The tax exemption for churches needs to go away. Saying that everybody pays taxes, except for churches. Both requires the government to make a determination as to what a church is and is a law respecting an establishment of religion. Both are violations of the first amendment rather than separation of state and church.
That would be funnier if I'd never been a member of the Mormon church. What can I say...they caught me young. Still, I left eventually. That counts, right? :)
And it's not like most Mormons believe or support the information in this video. Most Mormons have no idea about most of it. I knew almost none of this stuff until I left.

How do they maintain their church status - tax free and all? I mean if they can pull this off why can't we all make shit up and not pay taxes?
