  • One of the early Decca's that Ammy recorded before his breakthrough at HMV in 1930. Sound is completely dead like many of the early Decca's.

  • Vocalist is Eddy Grossbart.

  • This is definety not Sam Browne, who at the time was still contracted to Jack Hylton,.

  • @syncopeter Vocalist is Sam Browne...He joined Ambrose in February 1930

  • I've got this title (same track time) on a Saville LP-SVL147 but dated 18th Feb.1930 singer Sam Browne. Hope this helps......love your channel !

  • Great recording!

  • Thank you - this is truely wonderful!

  • What a great jazz diet! Fluffy flappers and pudgy poop-a-doopers take note! That and 2 hours of vigorous Charlestoning a day should melt the rumbleseat right off. Nice job by Ambrose with this Fox Talkie hit, but I just cant see him in a muscle tee and gym shorts..! Talkie hits are my fave! plundits abound for this spiffing movietone whatnot! Biff (snoozing one off under the grand piano again, hugging an empty chrome cocktail shaker dear to my heart).

  • Hybris and Nemesis! Jazz Age and Depression years! Conclusion: the WAR! Antonio Augusto from Brazil!

  • Hard to be on diet of your posts! Thanks.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!! My other favorit version is by George Olsen`s Orch. witch You can see on Prozoot`s channel. Anything that Ambrose does is to die for. This video is equalley as AWSOME.

  • Probably the ultimate diet... brilliant!

  • Very nice and swinging early Ambrose. Thanks a lot!

  • Excellent...gotta love those lyrics.

  • Lovely cheery fox, with delightful orchestration and singing. And these people are having a great time at the bar and on the dancing floor.

  • a bit of sunshine on this gray day. nice idea this diet. thanks for sharing.

  • Grzegorz,

    YOU are a GENIUS!

    I love this new Diet....

I am starting the Diet of LOVE immediately!

Why didn't anybody come up with this concept sooner? Great Video. I once stayed at the Mayfair Hotel pre YOUTUBE.

    Wonderful but no Ambrose.

By the way, I recommend the film

"A Single Man" with Colin Firth directed by Tom Ford. If it doesn't win the Oscar there is no GOD! Tally HO!!!!!

  • Thanks for this gift of heat and light on a gloomy Sunday. By the way, have you seen the Hungarian movie named Gloomy Sunday in English? Highly recommended.
