I don't doubt that Josh is an amazing guitarist... But this just isn't the RCHP that I love. I love the edgy stuff in which he reminisces living under a bridge, or suffering to drugs and overcoming human difficulties... Not this bullshit. I prefer John in the RHCP, even though I gave their new album more than a fair chance to make an impression... It just felt too comfortable and "samey samey".

I love this song and 3 of the band perform admirably live for this and the other new tracks. A lot was said about whether Josh could fit into the band whereas in actual fact, it's more a case of whether Anthony can adapt to the direction that Josh is taking them. I haven't seen Kiedis perform a new track live well yet imo. I saw them at the O2. It was great but the new ones were let down vocally. Flea & Chad as awesome as ever. Josh demonstrating his talent expansively. Kiedis = not on form.

Gotta agree, seen them live two weeks ago & they were mindblowing. This sounds fairly shite though :/ (die hard fan too) Josh vocals are horrendous & Kiedis is offkey slightly. Maybe its just the recordign but the bass sounds like its not emphasised.

I really didn't want to get into a debate about this, but you clearly haven't listened to Mr.Klinghoffer's previous work with bands like Dot Hacker, Ataxia, Warpaint, Thelonious Monster, and not to mention 4 excellent albums he made with John Frusciante between 2002-2004. He's not just a guitarist, he is a MUSICIAN, and a great one at that. Educate yourself on the subject before you decide to speak. Have a good day.

Worth listening to the song Omission which is a collaboration between the two. Shows how they compliment eachother and how they both have different styles. I'd love to see Josh and John play twin guitar & vocals in the RHCP. Could be the greatest thing. Maybe even drop Kiedis.
