  • last time i flew airtran we aborted take off and sat on a taxi way for 3 hours because the weather closed the airport we were flying to, took of at 17:00 pm after going back to the gate when i should have been in new york by 15:00! they suck sometimes. still waiting for my refund i was promised, that was in june! but i did get my free flight too!

  • OH WELL TO FUCKING BAD BITCH LAMFOO

  • There is an UFO at 0:18 - 0:21!

  • THATS BECAUSE YOU DIDNT TURN OFF YOUR ELECTRIC DEVICE!!!

    jk

  • Dang. Turned it off right as it was about to get interesting.

  • @finalcitrus Look it up southwest is replacing the 737 classics 717s are being used on routes too small for the 737 s or will work along with them

  • @finalcitrus so will airtran pilots lose their job?

  • @redsalute3 No, only the pilots that are Un-rated for the 737. For Southwest each pilot can fly all their 737 variants.

  • airtran sucked. there is absolutely no leg room even in 1st class

  • thats a 737 7h4

  • @tjs468 No the H4's are only SWA aircraft. H4 is just the name used by Boeing to ID the company

  • Probably forgot the flaps. It happens.

  • @joepatroni77 Nope, he said in the description it was a part defect in engine 1.

  • what does it feel like on a rejected takeoff? i've always wondered. i've been in a go around. but not an RTO

  • @tylertashji13 Pretty much like a landing but with more of a sudden deceleration.

  • Has southwest taken airtran yet?

  • @stitch16261 no

  • @stitch16261 yes they have will start flying air trans routes march 1 2012 approx. what is rto?

  • @airbus320dfw rejected take off. in other words, they tried to take off but stopped.

  • @airbus320dfw As soon as Southwest recieves their single service operating certificate in March most of AirTrans routes in the North East will be flowen. But it sucks for pilots like me who are at the bottom of the senority ranks, and now once we are added to Southwests ranks we will be even lower.

  • @finalcitrus ohh ok so Why wont Southwest keep the boeing 717s? Southwest needs new type aircraft.. I see Air Tran has moved to most of Existing Southwest gates already..It looks so different with 717s lined up and parked to Southwest's 717's but how do they pull them to gates since all Southwests are the same type Aircraft and all the gates are made for 737s .

  • @airbus320dfw Southwest does not want to keep the 717's because of their cost. Their first idea was to use them for short haul trips but the fuel prices would just be a bust for 77 extra planes. Southwest says that their 737-500's will just be used in place for what the 717's would be opperated for. So once the leases for the 717's end in 2017 they should be out of Southwests fleet.

  • @finalcitrus IS the 717 the same jetbridge ramp as a 737-500??? Also one more question when is Southwest going to retire the 737-500??? I just think there to old to fly with the center top part ripping open in flight.? thanks happy new year 2012 to you.

  • @airbus320dfw Well first I believe the jetways will fit both aircraft, Im not sure if they are specifically used for either airliner, the cab is horizontally adjustable and vertically adjustable with the universal canopy. And 2nd Southwest has'nt started that yet with the 500's. Like i said they are kinda handy for the short haul routes, but as Southwest continues to recieve their -700 orders they have begun phasing out the -300 series. And Happy New Years to you mate.

  • @finalcitrus Southwest is keeping the 717's

  • @ikolkyo967 No they are not. As I already told another narcissist some of my co-workers have recieved their unrated 737 letters a while ago concerning the fact that the 717's are being PHASED OUT. Southwest is still getting -700 orders and they are phasing out the -300s very fast and the -500's will take place of the -300's routes. The 717's have little if any future at Southwest. I HIGHLY doubt Southwest will keep any. If they do they would be used for flights from KATL Southbound and Eastbound

  • @finalcitrus SWA only has 25 -500's so I don't think the 500's can replace the -300's. SWA will operate the 717's for a few years till the lease is up or the lessor (Boeing) works something out.

OBTW: the -500 is not that great of an airplane its long range never did materialize as Boeing had once hoped. I call it a CFM powered -200.

  • @finalcitrus ...disregard my earlier statement. I read some of your other posts and now realize you know what you talk about. My bad, sorry.

  • @beerbrewer737 Haha, well you're pretty much right. Southwest will keep the 717's for now because they will not just sell them away like soda. As far as repainting the 717's, to my knowledge that will not be happening until 2017 or 18 if Southwest decides to keep them in service. Right now though Southwest has no demand for the 717. And haha, that's the 735 in a nutshell right there! I like my 737, but will be exited for the 73M!

  • @finalcitrus The Max ought to be interesting. For example: a bleedless engine!

  • Southwest doesn't fly to ATL, yet

  • @biggins49 WN starts service to ATL March of 2012. Yes, AirTran is now owned by WNCO.

  • @biggins49 its airtran airways

  • @biggins49 this February SW will fly to Atlanta
