Why the hell would you download WinRAR ? 7zip is FREE .
The safe way to download Torrents is buy use " Linux Mint " or any of the other 700 free Linux distributions it come with a torrent client already installed.
@Steelcity48 it is a virus put ther by hackers if you use peerblock and download the hacking block list it wont happen i havent gotten any viruses yet so wat r u doin rong
Piratebay has a nasty virus on it. I fucked up both my computers, I didn't even download anything, just clicked on a search and next minute I had fake security alerts and my browser was Hijacked.
@IfureadthisURdum No my friend, the pirate bay home page had a terrible virus on it a while back. Trust me, I've never had any problems with the actual torrents on there, but oddly the home page was giving many people viruses a while back. Odd I know, but that was the case. Seems to be fixed now.
@DisInfoWars the exact same thing happend to me three time. What i have been doing to get rid of it is boot into safe mode and do a scan with malewarebyts and spybot search and destroy (google them if you dont have them) and it cleared it all up. just make sure you update them before scanning.
But yeah i hate thepiratebay now because of that nasty virus

ya it tries 2 download a setup.exe but it is in no way affiliated w/ tpb and you just click the back button a few times

@Th3N1CkP1c That's the exact way I removed it as well, but I also did a boot scan with avast. But Spybot ROCKS!
Try using the advanced mode and check whats running on your system, it's way better than the standard windows tool
