Poor troops left on the river on April 15th, at least they avoided Berlin. I wonder how hard it was ro avoid Berlin for the rest who survived and retreated.I would have tried to run north and west, but I guess they had no choice

@jasincl and there were about 1,000 of them in action during the war total. Not to mention their engines only lasted 24 hours and were unstable as hell. By the end the germans didnt have the fuel to let them fly many missions. The fact is, the Red army was far superior in every way to the Wehrmacht by the time of the Battle of Berlin

@thebiest100 Well yes numbers in general. The German forces were understrength, exhausted and lacked the experience that their predecessors earlier in the war had used to inflict massive defeats on the Russians. The only units of considerable experience in the battle were Germania Panzer Corps and some other Ad-hoc panzer formations like the Muncheberg division. The rest were poorly equipped and understrength.

why's that? i lived in east germany for years, what was the alternative after the nazi's? the red army, hell of a good solution to me. I invite you to come and live the way i lived for 10 years there, i can tell you this, rather the nazi's then the sovjets, altough i do not aprove the mass murder of the jews, no man, woman or child may be killed for there beliefs.
