O uh yeah i got a motorcycle and just because I hae no brakes on it I'm not gonna try to stop because its not the safest thing to do. I'm just gonna roll on through.
I would suggest stopping at the "Stop" signs, probably the law, and a good time to show of your skills of balance ;D, I just started and can barely get going, much less stop on purpose , lol! Remember, rubber side down...... hehehe
When we do the Airport rides on bicycles we blow a lot of signs... but we have a couple hundred cyclists, and the first to the intersection scout it, and block it for the rest.
The cop was pretty reasonable. Did they give you a ticket or just ask you not to run the sign?
Have you thought about trying to do BRAG (Bike Ride Across Georgia) on a unicycle? That would get some attention... would be pretty cool.
its happened to me before.i was riding in an open lot, he said no sidewalks but i still do it anyway. is it good to ride in ga? also i think the same rules apply in VA.
Just another Cop trying to push his authority around..gotta love the guys who got picked on get some power and abuse it. I am an Atlanta area unicyclist..is there someone/somewhere that can tell me laws and regulations for riding unicycles in town?
HAHA, Thats unfortunate for you guys! The cop really didn't know what he was talking about i don't think lol, I got pulled over when i was on my motorbike on the road not registered and without a license now that was a incident :P
I agree, it wasn't bad at all. I just thought it was funny that 4 unicyclists got pulled over. He was being cool, and didn't really give us a hard time. I think he was curious more than anything. I actually had one of the other Park Rangers ride one of our unicycles a couple of years ago.
Depends on the jurisdiction. We are considered a pedestrian in GA. Joggers are not required to stop at the stop sign, and according to the GA code neither are unicyclists.
It's a tough call. In many ways we are more similar to a person running, but on the other hand we are on a wheel. This is a frequent conversation even among unicyclists. I want it both ways, that way I am never breaking a law. ;-)
thats it im never going to atlanta again

GA law says all cycles must obey every single law that cars must obey, including stop signs.

@juicesnn4e
No dude, you are not a pedestrian at all, you must follow all traffic laws the same as a car. If you need me to post the current GA law I will.
