I don't know how many of you have went to court for kids, but it is the most ridiculously secretive.You cannot even get your own court minutes because they won't let you have them they are sealed forever.I would just appreciate it if they just did thier job.For instance if one is called to check a home because a child is underweight but the child has cystic fibrosis maybe it would help for a social worker to be educated enough to know that that is one of the most common symptoms of CF.continued
Social workers don't get paid to listen they get paid to take kids, I'd be a little more open to the fact that they might help, but I've seen the statistics and they do way more harm than good.
First of all, social workers work in many more areas apart from child protective services. Social workers work in hospitals counseling dying people and their families, they connect parents with resources so their kids can succeed in school, and the coordinate services for senior citizens to improve their quality of life. Your response shows your ignorance about the profession. And, what statistics are you referring to? I would like to see them, because I bet your full of shit.

Tell me why they would remove 1 out of 4 kids.If a home is dangerous wouldn't it be dangerous for all the kids. Tell me, should 2 middle age homosexual men be given a male infant? your thinking of social workers who work for cps, not all social workers work for cps....i think many people have a minconception basis on social workers, they're not trying to ruin lives....they're helping out by looking at their patients lifestyle & by focusing on the settlement in various situations.&another thing, they dont "take" ur kid, if the kid gives vital info./threatning information about their life, the social worker HAS to report that to authorities by law...go look that up...

Should a CPS get an incentive to remove a child..HONESTLY, they are so giving why the hell would they need and incentive, and child removals are about as chancy as abuse cases.How can a social remove a child for showing symptoms of his illness? while 3 other children are left in the same home.

I think it's great what this person is doing and i'm sure it helps many people a great deal. I myself am starting a course in September 08 which will be the start of the road to becoming a Social Worker.
