I just did a, "video swap", using their, "library", as you mentioned in the video. That was the worst bunch of crap I never heard of in my life. Evanescence was about the only thing I recognized at all, and I had to listen to a bunch of pukey music set to my vid in order to preview. The process made me ill.
Viacom, Universal, Disney, and Time Warner. They even delete music that is not theirs. Its All in order started at 2007 and probably till the end of fucking youtube.
copy and paste this to every video you can to get this message across, boycott all viacom movie/shows and also boycott the WMG's music, do not pay for any of there stuff until they give as the respect we deserve, from now on just torrent anything you need.

I also heard about that deal but i found out more. The WMG's demands were the right to force any youtuber posting a video with even 10 seconds of a wmg song to pay a 10$ a month fine and additional fees for using more than three somngs owned by the WMG. They also wanted to be able to remove any video that they didnt like or thought abused a WMG copywrite without giving a user the right to dispute. Naturally youtube said fuck off and the WMG is muting videos to scare away users and ruin youtube.
I heard that WMG wanted YouTube to impose upload fees to users for every video using their music. This fee would have been $10.00 for every video uploaded using their music.
WMG is violating the law if they intend to deny every fair use claim.

I also heard about that deal but i found out more. The WMG's demands were the right to force any youtuber posting a video with even 10 seconds of a wmg song to pay a 10$ a month fine and additional fees for using more than three somngs owned by the WMG. They also wanted to be able to remove any video that they didnt like or thought abused a WMG copywrite without giving a user the right to dispute. Naturally youtube said fuck off and the WMG is muting videos to scare away users and ruin youtube.

Simon, you are not on side at all. Every time an artist is used as BGM for a Youtube vid, it's free advertising for them. How many times have you seen the question: "What is the music in this video?" Invariably the poster of the vid then gives the details and this encourages the questioner to go and buy the music. Explain to me then how this is detrimental to both the artist and WMG? It would be better to encourage ppl to use your artists music and give a mention of them in the credits.

I'm done with WMG. They blocked audio from some of my videos MONTHS FUCKING LATER, in one case I had literally 30 SECONDS of a WMG song at the end of a 6 minute video and the whole thing got blocked.
WMG is a piece of shit, I will never give them another dime again...no more iTunes and Amazon downloads for those pricks...straight to torrents from now on. I hope they go bankrupt and fall apart...

Google owns YouTube since 2006. Google hoped to make money off this video sharing giant and they havent, but since Google is a huge money making machine, it doesn't matter.
WMG who have their artists advertised to the public on YouTube record that the company's shares trade at $3, down from $23 less than two years ago since signing the license.
