  • We had a poem that blamed magazines for men dehumanizing prostitutes, some Jesus-nonsense, a poem about sex workers as if they are DoctorsWithoutBorders, a police chief with the usual fiddle-faddle (no questions asked, none answered), a proclamation from the mayor (washing his hands of the actual issues), more Jesus stuff, a "strange" (to say the least) JL revival, a eulogy to heavenly "grandmothers"...

That's the way NOT to solve a problem!

  • Thanks for that!

  • I have finally finished watching this. Thank you so much for posting it and your support of sex worker rights!

  • 17 missing or dead in 25 years? That doesn't sound like it would warrant such a big memorial.

  • @MSK120 Oh? I would argue that just one would... but this makes me curious as to what you'd suggest would be an appropriate death toll.

  • @MSK120 That is in just one place. When you look at it nationally {in Canada} hundreds have been murdered or gone missing in that same period of time. Is that worthy enough for you?

  • The poetry at 20:39 is very moving. Very moving. Strong, encouraging, & hopeful. Powerful.

    Thank You.

  • Thank You. So much. Sex workers must not be forgotten while they live or after they have gone. It is in remembering that we can keep the ones lost... alive.

  • :)
