  • My 1995 Galant front right disc glowed when it was jammed :)

  • ST200 had crap front brakes as standard, should be on a Fiesta. Ford got tight as the Mk2 Mondeo production run ended and started using old parts for different models.

  • Engine tick curse of death.

  • its the brakes cooling down causing the ticking sound..

  • @revitt1234 Yep, the ticking sound is them warping as they cool...

  • brilliant way of f*cking your brake pads and disks :P:P...

  • menuda forma de reventar los discos amigo...

si los pones al rojo y paras se doblan.. nadie te lo dijo? XD

    PANOLI!

  • standard brakes?

  • yeah just before they were upgraded due to being completely useless!

  • the second stop was from around 80mph

  • still seemed to slow well considering,

  • what do you mean too slow?

  • "seemed to slow" as in decrease speed

  • he's saying the brakes still seemed to slow the car quite well, considering they're standard

  • da i duno weather to say this is cool or bad cus they got hot so fast

  • Nice car,i hope you drove off again quickly so you didnt warp the rotors lol.

  • they were being replaced a few days later with some larger rotors.. so wasnt an issue! but usually i do keep moving if they get this hot.

  • Wow, I never knew you could get discs to glow on a road car ;)

  • Mate! That was awsome! I've always liked the ST200 too, couldn't afford one so I built a VR6 turbo! Wonder if my brakes glow like that too....

    Nice one!

  • What a great video. Only a true petrol head would attach a camera to a car to look at hot discs!

And what a car! Proper drivers car without the knob image of a BMW. One of the greatest understated cars on the road. This is coming from a VW R32 owner.

    Keep it up mate

  • thanks! yeh was a bit worried about loosing the cam and running over it! its a great car, one of the 300 limited edition saloons to. Not the fastest thing ive owned by far but makes up for it by being so well balanced. Like you say, a proper drivers car! :) some bigger brakes are on the way very soon!

  • That is sweet! I used to own an old 1983 Mercedes 300SD. I was trying to pinpoint a brake problem, so I braked from 100kph to 0kph five or six times, hard. By the time I got home, they smelled terrible and were smoking like crazy! I thought they were going to catch on fire! Turned out later to be a sticky caliper.
