My favorite jazz pianist is Keiko Matsui. Her "Deep blue" is really AMAZING!!!

I love this song. You can really imagine nature of water here. Middle of the song there is crash cymbal that symbolises jump into water to discover whole new levels of this song and then later there is breathing part. When I realized that this can be analysed, blowed my mind. It is just one secret of her songs.

Listening to this piece, it's as if it's telling a story. Keiko's performance in this piece is totally on par with the quality of soundtrack music. The level of epic sound and melody and the assembly of chords, pauses, and scales is just so impressive!

I mean, it's just one instrument compared to an orchestra, but she can compete on near equal ground and footing!
