Even so it was the biggest Red Herring in Australian Television history. Technical Problem my arse. Actually it was true. It was technically very difficult to keep a show on air with Kerry Packer on the phone yelling at you.

Having seen the rest of the clips posted, I'd have to say that part 6 is by far the best.
Channel 9: scraping the bottom of the barrel. Kerry Packer was right: it WAS shit.

Well, it's on right now. The only one "interfering" with the show is Bert Newton, and that's just to explain to people who missed out the first time ( or forgot ) exactly what went down. No Kerry Packer, not yet anyway!

The reason why there is a technical problem message is because Kerry Packer (owner of the Nine Network)found about this program at a dinner, then rang TCN in Sydney and pulled the program off air 27 minutes into the broadcast and replaced with a rerun I think...
The rest is history. Kerry Packer was a very hands on person when it came to Channel Nine right up until his death in late 2005. This proved it in every way.
