  • Awful cover. The original is such a wonderful cover, destroyed by this cover.

  • What's the video from?

  • @SuzLa1 I think you will find that this video, using one of the songs from Rhydian's new album "Waves", was done by a fan for a competition.

  • Cheap production, sounds like it was knocked out in a couple of hours in someone's shed. Pity as it's a classic song. Should have been a lot better.

  • RHYDIAN ?

... an almost pure white alkaline, becomes black when aired. It decays becoming colourless, tasteless RADON...

Produced by decay within (soil-covered) Rock , above certain levels it becomes a health hazard.

    Or is that RADIUM ...?

  • But all the passion and heart is missing from these vocals. Wayne's voice had greater depth, anger, frustration, strength, dire love, faith, and belief... the Mission was something special.

  • how come Mr Hussey is flattered with this...

  • If you want to listen to this with guitars and the bongos google Rhydian vs All Living Fear its on Soundcloud.

  • Well it's better than i thought it would be,though not a patch on the original by The Mission, which is on MTV's classics list.

Please don't turn up as rumoured to the Missions london gig in october though!!!!!

    Good luck with this cover......

  • @syebba Don't you think that he'd sound *amazing*, though with the Mish accompanying him? Rhydian clearly has a very strong voice, which I think overpowers the synths in his version. With Hussey, Hinkler et al ploughing away on leccy gee-tars, the whole track would become as powerful as the vocals.

  • I keep coming back to this, as an aging ex-goth it's a difficult thing to admit but... this is superb.

  • @aroakley

Stop it,you're encouraging him,he might do another mission cover!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Actually there was 2 different Julianne Regans on stars in there eyes

  • All those monochrome outfits... it was only a matter of time before the goth finally broke free. I was only thinking the other day, you don't get enough Mission covers by talent show opera superstars these days. Back in the 80s it was wall-to-wall Fields of the Nephilim on New Faces. If you turned on the telly on Saturday night, ten to one you'd be faced down by Andrea Bocelli belting out "Body Electric".

  • furchtbare verhunzung | terrible adulteration

  • Love it Emma - well done!
