Personal responsibility. A favorite strawman argument of the conservative. Instead of acting in the logical way that betters the society and thus onesself, the conservative will take the easy way out and say, "hey, i'm doing my part...i'm providing for myself, everyone else should do the same." That's not what its about. It's about changing a broken system that favors insurance company profits over the health of citizens. Maybe then people will better be able to take care of themselves.
"Some things shouldn't be compromised." I agree, personal responsibility is one of them. Please stop promoting the punishment of success. Have some pride, provide for yourself and encourage others to do the same.
