  • do people look up videos just to dog them?? seriously get a job or a girlfriend find something to do with your day other than dog on people with good videos...

  • Be some tasty meat

  • post a vid of a real deer... not a yearling doe....

  • @rgordon2012 i dont hunt for trophy's

  • @Brookssteff we noticed.....

  • @rgordon2012 ill post a video for u tomorrow little bitch. filming massive bucks so close u could kill with a rock.

  • @Brookssteff LMAO... lets see it... i'll be waiting bitch... roflmao

  • @rgordon2012 haha suck a dick. no good seen a fuck load of deer but none with antlers. didn't shoot a thing. do some research. of deer around the burdekin area Australia qld. they r in plague number. every 10 k there will be a heard of deer having between 10 - 30+ deer. last time i went to this dudes farm we seen a buck every k or so. there where no spikes on the weekend ether. i dont hunt for trophy's so i dont know the season. i assume they have doped them, as it is summer. bum slut

  • Nothing like a vid with that down home NIGGER crap, they call RAP. Everyone has to follow the Niggers instead of following anything half way decent.

  • is it just me or on the box does it say you paid $31 fior the ammo, i get .223 norma bullets for 15 a box and the shels alone normally retail for $2 each

  • @BEASTYBOI95 $37 a box there pretty accurate ammo for factory. where i live theres mark ups on everything to do with firearms is ridicules. its the only place with in 200km that deal with ammo. but i use highland or Winchester soft points for $18 box. or for plinking Winchester fmj for $12

  • if all goes to plan this weekend im gonna take some impact shots using my 223 and highland 55gr soft points ill do some head a hart shots same tikka t3 varmint as i shot these deer stay tuned

  • Its all about shot placement and I also stated you shot very nicely.

  • And what did I do that needs to be taken down a pinch? I was just stating a fact. Our deer are pretty dang large up here. And its illegal to shoot deer with a caliber smalled than 243 because of the size of deer we have. Its more likely to kill and a 223 is up here. I wasn't being a dick.

  • @solhays85

A .223 is as likely to kill a big deer as a .243

I hunt with a .243 and have friends and family that use .223's.

What about all the 200+lb deer poached during the depression by starving farmers with .22LR rifles???

  • but why would you use a 300 mag on a deer anyways, its a deer.

  • Couldn't take down a white tail or Mule deer up in the Pacific Northwest states, unless its a head shot. Plus, its illegel to use anything smaller than a 243 because our deer are much bigger. Good shooting though. Hope you love that Tikka, heard a lot of good about them.

  • @solhays85 take it down a pinch of piss. look at my other vids. its just about to hit deer season here where i live. ill do some actual vids of deer been taken and some bigger animals ull shit your pants at what a 223 can do in the rite hands

  • @solhays85 how many lbs r your deer

  • @solhays85 how many big r your deer so a can shoot one larger and post it

  • @solhays85 killed a 230 pound 9 point last season with my stag arms ar 15 shooting federal vital shok the buck instantly dropped and crawled about a yard and died quickly all happend under 30 seconds and i ended up having a lot more meat than i usually do when i use my 30-06 with 150 grains and i killed that buck with a 55 grain and it just did as good so dont go saying shit that aint true just because you think you know it all

  • @solhays85 Bullshit. I've seen a .223 drop a big 200 pound kansas buck. People all over the country use 45's, 357's, & 10mm's and those are all substantially weaker than the .223. The .223 will perform better than all of those "deer rounds" in muzzle energy, accuracy, range, and over all damage.

  • @EliteAmericans You're a dip shit to believe a 223 is more powerful that a 45,357 or a 10mm.Just because a bullet travels fast, does not mean its powerful. And a 223 will not perform better than other "deer rounds",like I said, just because its fast doesn't mean its powerful. And RANGE?Effective range for a 223 is less than 600yrds.A 308 is 800yard if not a 1000yrds with the right gun.A 223 is a varmit gun, nothing more in my eyes.True it can kill with a proper shot, doesn't always happen

  • @solhays85 I don't "believe" .223 is moar powerful than .45/357/10mm. I know it is, because it's a mathematical fact. 45 ACP 185gr JHP: 1225fps = 616 ft lbs of energy. 357 mag 125gr defense jhp: 1600 FPS = 710 Ft Lbs of energy. 10mm auto 180gr JHP: 1350 fps = 728 Ft lbs of energy. Meanwhile, a .223 69gr BTHP: 2950 FPS = 1333 Ft Lbs of energy. It's nearly twice as powerful as the 45/10mm/357 rounds. In ballistics tests, the .223 causes far more tissue destruction than any of those rounds.

  • @solhays85 So , mr. solhays85, i just mathematically proved that the .223 is more powerful than any of those pistol rounds. The .223 has a much longer effective range, is far more accurate, causes far more tissue destruction, and is mathematically nearly twice as powerful as the best those cartridges have to offer. Get over it.

  • @EliteAmericans Really?? Hmmm, I wonder why these bullets tend to OVER PENETRATE. Over penetrate, equals loss of "power". The reason 223 tends to do the only damage that it does do, is because it "keyholes". Not because of power. Those 3 hand gun rounds, with in range will do more damage than a 223 does at 100yrds. Real world experiance gives more proof than math does. 223 is up to 72gr. While a 45 is 230gr. Weight along with engery makes up a lot. I never said it couldn't take a deer

  • @solhays85 Wrong again, the .223 doesn't cause damage by "keyholing". The .223 goes fast enough to cause damage in the temporary cavitation zones. It also can fragment wildly, and explode. The temporary cavity from most pistol rounds doesn't cause tissue damage the way a fast rifle round will. You don't rely on a lucky shot no matter what caliber. If you put a .223 into teh chest cavity of a deer, all the organs will be disrupted by temp cavitation, some will be damaged permanently.

  • @EliteAmericans You're so right, its all about shot placement. But just because it goes fast, doesn't mean it will do more damage than slower heavier rounds.A 22-250 does 4000fps, why don't snipers or even more hunters, hunt with 22-250? Because its not a known STOPPER. I don't care what your "math" says, its not real world experiance. 357 and 10mm's are "more powerful". But whatever dude, believe what "math" you want, I will believe what I have seen and done.

  • It just takes WAY more luck or marksmenship. A larger rifle will kill the animal with a bit more ease. Given shot placement, you can kill anything. But not everyone or every shot is perfect. It's inhumane to hunt with too small of a round if you don't get that lucky shot.

  • wow. i liked the video..... but y kill a deer that small i mean come on i kill coon bigger than that. i never killed a deer that small.. but its still meat sooo...

  • I hunted with several calibers. Shot a 300 Weatherby mag for years. Liked the 35 Rem for shorter shots. Used 308 for years, but recently used a 223 for my grandson's first deer. Was so impressed the way the full size doe dropped in tracks and the wound channel that I tried it on a spike. The wound channel of a 223 is much larger and does more damage than the 300 weatherby magnum. You may disagree, but I have over 10 kills with the 300 magnum they ran 40 to 70 yrds after being heart shot.

  • @thelaserguy a 300 mag is probably better on thick hides or long distances. the expansion wouldn't be all that great i haven't shot one. its like shooting them with a 30/30 close up the bullet pass rite threw not causing a lot of damage. if u hit a pig with it on the other hand and the bullet dumps all its energy and not exit the damage is tremendous everything in side is just a bloody jelly mess

  • thats a nice shot mate... what is your tikka zero'd at?

  • @kiwiwoolf 250 yards

  • Thats no joke. Nice videos

  • huh, interesting results, I'd say that's getting on for a fallow sized deer here in the UK, I guess one of the reasons a bullet like that can take down a deer of that size is the shock of it hitting the animal ( as supposed to if it was traveling slower)

  • @danebrewer10 never under estimate your gun only under estimate your self. guns are capable of 2 or 3 times more then what u think. a 17hmr head shot on a deer is sufficient. 223 heart lung shot on a deer is ample. people under estimate there guns i shot horse with my marlin 30/30 all head shots out to 200+ yards with and it would group the size of a tennis ball at that range aqnd people say there not a long distance guns. iv taken horses out to 300 + with my t3 223 with fmj head shots.

  • @Brookssteff urgh.... yeah I know rifles can do more than they are usually toted for, but what I am getting as it responsibility, using the best tool for the job in hand, it's like picking up a pin hammer to knock a 6" nail in, it will do it at a pinch, but a 240z claw hammer will do it much better, as you say, I have no doubt that a .17 HMR on a deer is sufficient, but apart from being illegal ( in the UK, I don't know about where you are), there is a large margin for error,

  • @Brookssteff I'm just talking about lessening those margins that's all, sure you put a .223 through the noggin of anything it's stop it, but without going into the headshooting vs no headshooting debate, a bigger bullet, in the 6mm+ and 80-90gn range will do a better and faster job of killing a large animal when you put that bullet in the engine room....

  • @Brookssteff yup you said it man i know some of my buddy's have shot and killed full size white tail deer with a .22lr all head shots

  • @danebrewer10 watch?v=OLtsEziEnZo

  • @Brookssteff yeah I know, I watched it earlier, I still hold my opinion. not to say that the .223 won't do the job well, it's just that given the choice, I'd opt for something with more oomph...
