Great kata performance. You did a good job. Sanseiru is my favourite kata. I used to be taught it almost exactly the same way as you did. I used to train in the Japanese Goju-ryu, then our school changed our style to the Okinawan Goju-ryu.
I think other styles of karate have a Sanseiru which is different than the one we do in Goju Ryu. The crane part was taught to be by my Sensei so I assume it was there originally but cannot be sure :-)

i really like the crane and mantis stances at the end! is that usually in the kata? it's great!
