penance is way more healing than flash heal (about 3x depending on SP) and costs less mana, has 3x chance to crit and cause DA and inspiration, and 1 cast completely stacks grace.....

with no penance, no wonder you quit :P looks amazing too, like supercharged spitballs of healing :P

Anyway, you do NOT need to face the person to use Penance. They can be behind you and Penance will automatically channel onto them.

The fact that you don't even have it specced makes me worry about you. Try Holy instead.

as i said in the other reply, when i was playing wow, patch 3.0.3, you couldn't cast penance if you didn't face your target. now they changed it.

does channeling without facing your target work with mind flay and the rest offensive spells now? or they made only penance like that?

I think Penance is the only one that does this. Seriously you should pick it up. 3 stacks of Grace PLUS double/triple DA procs are just too good not to have.

I don't see the point of just flash heal spam as disc. You can get bigger throughput with Holy spec anyway. Just get penance, and learn to love it :P

except that penance sucks because u need to face your target to heal him - it's just wasted talent points to take it - i don't need it cause i can easily keep up my assigned targets even while wearing blue gear.

That is where you're mistaken though. Your character will automatically face your target when you click penance. Its not about keeping someone up, its about keeping someone up effectively. Penance gives 3 stacks of Grace from the get go and in 3.1, a double (or triple) crit Penance will stack DA procs. Its not about being a sheep, its about using the best priest heal in the game.

in patch 3.0.3 your character wouldn't face your target when you click penance. and it broke my balls. so i removed it.

if i play in patch 3.1 i will consider taking it again.
