@freesnipes101 125 ktm is pretty big.... it is almost the size of a 450. (size not engine) so if you are short and kinda week go with the 85 or even a 105, but if you are tall enough go with the 125. hope i helped. :)

@joshdawall yeah... a 125 is not equal to a 450 4 stroke, it's more around the level of a 250. Easy rule, double the capacity of a 2 stroke to get the corresponding 4 stroke capacity

2004 KTM 125 I raced maybe 10 or more races (BRAND NEW) and my master cylinders are shot which almost killed me on a double and the return spring broke in the trans plus my Clutch cylinder is shot it doesnt disengage fully other than that.....I Like em hah

But look at not just motocross but enduro taddy blazusiak chose ktm for a reason because it is a durable bike and that why you dont see alot of jap bikes in hard races like Erzberg,they are great bikes,and not only the make great dirtbikes but they also make race ready quads.

I dont think you even know about ktm and its bikes,dont go saying stuff that is not true. KTMs mx bikes are ready to race right out of the box with top race part already on them like,bremo brakes, renthal bars,and aluminum excel rims.they also have a strong steel frame insted of the aluminum ones the jap makes are using which makes for a very durable race bike.I dont want to put you down or anything just wanted to inform you on the facts.

Ktm 250f's come stock with titanium valves,springs and retainers. no jap bikes come with them. The clutches on ktms are hinson with ktms name on them, there motors are far from junk, i have a 2008 250sxf. there great bikes ..

well my first and current 2 stroke is a '03 kx 125.. if u hav any experience with two strokes i'd say go for the 144 ktm but if u cant get a yz 125 and then when ur ready bore it to 144.. cause ktm 125's just arent wurth all the muny u put into them unless u got extra cash and really like orange lol. but the jap bikes r so good right now i'd go yama.. hope that helped :)

Well, it all depends on what brands you like. i mean im a big fan of YAMAHA and KTM. Yamaha and KTM over in America still make the 2 strokes. I think the KTM's are great bikes. yeh go for what you like.

AMA rules caused the 144 and 150 change. In 2007 the AMA allowed only 2 strokes of 145cc or less to compete in the 250 class but in 2008 changed it to 150cc or less.

You can race a 125 in the 250 lites class.  They just changed the rules again and now 250cc 2 strokes can compete against 250cc 4 strokes in the amateur ranks. In the 250 lites amatuer class you can race any 2 stroke between 125cc and 250cc.

i got and ktm 125 sx first 2 sroke and you got mix the fuel were having truble geting how musch of what needs to go in to the regular gas guy told at 4 gallons of regular fuel to dump the hole thing of the mix in to it and were having truble with it was runing when the guy we bought off of it ran so eny ? helP

Well I've just got a 200cc 2 stroke trials bike. The mix I put in is about 40:1 or 45:1, so thats about 4/4.5 litres of petrol (gas/gasoline) to 100 ml/cc of 2 stroke oil. It doesn't really matter its just to stop the engine siezing up. It should say the mixture on the oil bottle. Hope this helped.

at some dirt bike dealers they sell measuring cups made for pre mix and dont use regular gas only use premium gas. the ethanol they put in regular gas is hell on a two stroke and the premium will make i run better.

Renegade, KTM are not fucking idiots. They made the 144 in 2006, when the AMA changed the maximum two stroke displacement limit in the 125/250f classes from 125, to 144. Sadly for KTM, the following year the AMA again changed the maximum displacement rule again, from 144 to 250. That means you can now race a 250 two stroke against a 250 four stroke in amateur racing! You should admire KTM for building more two strokes than any other brand.
