Oh my goodness -- I don't think I've felt this way about a sample library since I discovered EWQLSO... This is amazing! Where can I order these sounds?
*WHY* do they not make it more intuitive, by making it select MINOR or MAJOR, by pressing the FULL CHORD, so the 3 keys of the chord, instead of this counter intuitive method? That is alot easier if you have a part with chords in midi made already, and you want it to be placed by this specific VSTI. Those LIB with stacatto strings had the same counter intuitive issue ....Also keep in mind not everyone exactly knows names of chords etc
@PowerRedBull We did it this way because the samples are that of an entire orchestra playing the chords. All you have to do is press a key, and you get the chord. The key is the root tone. Our audience is mostly folks who have at least a small knowledge of music (names of chords etc)
How do you switch between instruments like that?! I click on the next one and it has the orange box around it but it keeps playing the instrument on top!? Uhg!!!
I think Voxos sounds pretty good. Do you know another choird lib that sort of has ''words'' too (I do not care about real words, just hte impression it gives not being just '' ahhh ahh ehh ehh'' the whole time.
Hey all, need quick advice- I have been playing pianos/keyboards for years, and now have opened my eyes to the midi controller world. This stuff rocks....what all will one need to get set up making music this way? 88 key midi controller, kontakt, these cinesamples of course....I'm tyring not to destroy the bank either...if it is possible.
I currently record my keyboard with an M-Audio fasktrack usb interface...will that work with this stuff? Sorry if these questions are retarded.
Yeah, It's great to have a product that I'm not wrestling with to sound like what I thought I was getting. We need more honest demos that are maybe placed along side the ones performed by the experts showing average results for the average user as well.
I'm just the opposite of some of you guys. I was impressed because it "wasn't "done by a phenomenal expert like most product demo. You get it home and can't get it to sound like that. Cineorch still sounded good. I know the results I'd get out the box without being an expert endless tweaking unlike 99% of the product demos out there. I get that these companies want to put their product in the best light but frankly, I want to know how it sounds in "my" hands. So I bought it based on this vid
@dblock94533 Thanks dblock for your comment. I'm glad you said that, I've been wondering how people respond to videos like this. I feel like this is the best way for you to see what the library can actually do. Instead of hearing some kind of finessed mockup that took several days to produce by an uber-professional.
No problem c0mp0ser. Hopefully when the cnebrass comes out, you'll do a video on that to though having been satisfied with cineorch,I'll probably just buy it anyway. Good Luck to you!
Okay, please excuse me if I'm stupid, but does this work for other music softwares such as Cubase and Logic? I guess this is only a sound library, and not a composing software itself... Or am I wrong?
@c0mp0ser 100% DISagree! Whoever the guy is, he's a treat to listen to. Very relaxed, knows the software and it's like he's actually talking to YOU, not a camera or microphone. Mr. Person on CineSamples videos, you are awesome.
@vpmitchell :) this is Mike actually a great composer and he is the man behind Cinesamples,he is modest in front of the camera as he is in his answer to you.
Why be an asshole? The guy was doing a demo for us. You have no idea how good or bad his playing is. So he slipped once or twice, the last time I checked that makes him human.
@Greyswyndir It's not like he's playing anything quite difficult or complicated. I'm not gonna bash him for his mistakes, but it's quite obvious he's not much of a player.
The guy that made the original comment privated me and gave me a bunch of shit over my post. Him and the guy in the video are buddies and he was making a joke. He went on about Whining Americans, etc., etc. As for his keyboard playing skills, I doubt either of us could accurately gauge his abilities from the minor mistakes he made. He was talking and explaining things during the demo.
@Greyswyndir "I doubt either of us could accurately gauge his abilities from the minor mistakes"
They are not "minor" mistakes. Several times, it's like a train wreck. And, they are single notes. It's not like he played one off note, in a large progression. He's missing simple octave leaps.
And, saying that I am not capable of gauging his abilities as a player is just as naive as me judging his ability from this video, is it not? You have judged my capabilities from a single comment, right?
They are minor mistakes considering he was fooling around with the program, explaining the patches, and hitting a few keys. Try juggling a bunch of different tasks at the same time while on camera and then maybe I'd agree with you. It could have been an off day, whatever. I'm just saying, he could be a fine player and I wouldn't judge off of this demo.
And no, I haven't judged your capabilities form this video. And yes, you are acting like an asshole...
@Greyswyndir Of course, I'm not trying to be an a**-hole here - I'm just saying, that you CAN get quite an impression of the level this guy plays at, from this video.
And, I'm not really complaining. I just sorta stepped in on this discussion. The guy is obviously knowledgeable of music and the program, so I don't entirely agree with that original comment. He's great for the demo.
But, I'm not gonna sit here and kid myself that he is a great pianist. It's silly.
...I never said the guy was a great pianist. I simply stated that judging his playing ability based on this video is pretty short-sighted. I gave my reasons in my last post. It seems like 90% of the people on the Internet are just looking for an argument. WTF?
@Greyswyndir "90% of the people on the Internet are just looking for an argument"
Funny you might say that after calling me an ass hole. xD
They're not minor mistakes to any real player. He's not juggling anything from 2:00-2:14, and it is a train wreck. He's obviously not fiddling with the program, either. Any good player would be able to look at the ceiling and play octave leaps. Heck, I've seen good players hold full blown conversation while playing Bach. This guy is not much of a player.
After you noticed yourself that you were "not trying to be an asshole". In other words, you knew you were acting like on but decided to continue. Even now you want to continue arguing with me over this guys playing ability.
Okay, you win the argument. The guy sucks and he should chop off his fingers and become a potter.
I never said that. I simply said, that you CAN tell a bit from this video if you choose not to ignore it.
"you knew you were acting like on[e]"
I knew I could be perceived as one, because there's a lot that can be missed in text communication.
There's a difference between being an ass hole, and being realistic and slightly blunt. I said nothing further than "he's not much of a player". I even complimented his ability of demoing the product. You're over-reacting.

Or just use the ASSIGN or AiR Version of Kontakt....lol
Compatible with all encrypted libraries and you can actually edit the sounds...
One thing -> If you have a "naughty" version of Kontakt - check out Voxos -> You will see that the choir samples are not sampled chromatically.
Some of the Boys Choir samples are just one sample spread across 8 or 9 semi-tones....they sound quite bad because of this in the higher octaves...
Not exactly acceptable for a £1,000 library....
