Why don't you take the shortcut in the Yoshi Circuit? That kart can definitely do that without using a mushroom

@MegaRedwing19 Yeah, I know but it's a risk-reward thing... it only saves like 0.4 to 0.6 seconds per lap if done properly. With the odds of making it across all three times perfectly vs the risk or ruining a whole run because of it, I don't think it's worth it. I would much rather concentrate on getting a very lucky without any blue shells or lightning since those waste 3 to 5 whole seconds. After that, then yes, I suppose the next step would be to shave off tenths of seconds wherever possible.

You're overall better than I was when you posted this video. But the two points I was really impressed by are the way you drive on the back of Yoshi's head, and the way you take the cut on DK Mountain. Maybe i should give the Barrel Train a try, it looks faster, indeed.

Plus, I have a question. On Mushroom City, don't you think it is faster to take the cut, between the two possible directions (at 2:11 for instance) ?

@Grolironde Thanks. It's definitely faster the way I do it at 2:11. If you were to make a plan view of this level and trace the path I take, you could that it's the shortest route. And also, I know just from experience. The other paths are consistently slower (a few seconds) per lap.

@xserd Specific characters don't matter in this game. The best kart is Barrel Train and only two small characters can ride it. It will drive the same regardless of who you chose between all the small characters.

@spurious It's the best if you do mini-turbos throughout the track. The extra speed you get is sustained slightly longer than others and it's possible to chain them together without loosing significant amounts of speed. If you race around more casually - mostly holding A and doing a few mini-turbos - it's probably not the best kart.

First off, amazing skill, fucking rockin on the drifts.

Secondly, stop complaining about him not using items, that's why some ppl don't like the game, if you have enough skill you dont bother with them and just drift all the way thru, while others enjoy it as a racing game.

Mario kart 64 will always rock, but i prefer dash because of the better drifts.
