I quickly got on YouTube and replayed this song. I really haven't heard this song since 2005. Oh the nostalgia.
man how good music has changed...smh-this was a classic and we didn't even know it yet. Now we stuck with Fake (Drake) and Minaj on the radio...(turns off the radio)
this song is a remake of aretha franklin's "Call Me" they used the pianos and speeded up the tempo but who cares the song is still dope.check out group 7/27 on ktrb90
@EddyShingler of course i have. dilla was the best at finding stuff to sample. kanye is the best producer, today at least, at chopping up samples and getting creative with them. if you listen to the original sample of this song, it barelysounds like the yeezy used it. that's dope as hell to me
@SidBuford1414 Don't get me wrong, kanye is one of my favourite artists, but I still think Dilla is the greatest, followed by mablib. I think if we said current day producer, kanye is definitely up there though.
@SidBuford1414 I was gonna mention DOOM, he's actually one of my favourite rapper/producers, but he's not to everybody's taste really and I didn't really expect many people to know of him to be honest! DOOM is boss I saw him in london over here in the UK last year.
@SidBuford1414 I think in terms of normal shows the quality was pretty poor. Audio equipment was bad on DOOMs set so you could hardly hear the beat but ghostface (as well as half of wu-tang) played after and you just couldn't hear anything at all. Just a mess of sound. But it was just cool to see them all. Still, had us waiting like 4 hours just standing but that's doom for you.
*sigh* the good times in life should never be taken for granted. Tell me this song doesn't take the 80's and 90's generation back to their childhood. Don't make feel good music like this anymore

@zarenj21 i have no problem with nobody on your list except lupe fiasco and normally i dont reply to replys on my lists because its just opinions. but fuck lupe fiasco. that little faggot ass bitch will never be on my list. not because of his rapping abilities but because of who he is. he said he would never vote for president Obama and called him a terrorist and for that he can almost never gained any amount of respect from me at all. as far as i am concerned he is irrelevant.
@PDMvidz so? just cuz he has his own opinions about shit doess't mean he can't be on ur list. we all know lupe's dope. u put immortal on ur list. we all know that one song where he talks about raping his mom. that's the most sickest thing ever, but we still listen to that nigga and he's still on ur list. u respect him for doin' that shit? i mean think about it. if lupe didn't like obama then so be it. don't mix up politics with rap.
go u ppl bitchinghow u want old kanye back its so fucking sad. i swear u type of fans are worse than comic book nerds, so afraid of change, scared to leave the tiny little corner of ur room and explore.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 who the fuck said we're fans? And the truth, no one wants kanye back. No one even wants him around. You on the other hand, want to give him a blow job. Get over him and come back to reality.
@ArbyWanKenobi most of his fans.go to a ye video act like you don't see alot of love in those comments y'all hip hop heads need to stop being lil girls when someone switches it up every album after CD he switched it up.ye still the best. like rza, hov, raekwon & he got a song with pete rock.all of them likeon that album & pete on WTT
@swagLilBallin11 There's a difference between switching up your style, and forgetting all the old people you worked with, squander your talents for mainstream appeal, and sya stupid, ignorant shit.
And are you saying Kanye still has it because he's got props from Pete Rock & RZA? Ghostface Killah works with The Game and Jim Jones, does that mean they're good too?
@ArbyWanKenobi I like kanye no way are gonna make me dislike him there is no point in arguing cause your someone who can't except something out the box.
@swagLilBallin11 I 'm not trying to dissuade you in your opinion, I'm just trying to have you understand mine. And if you think it's a matter of too much "out-of-the-box"-ness, look at my channel. I've done mixes with Four Tet, Hudson Mohawke, Nujabes. It's not a matter of my conservative taste.
@ArbyWanKenobi every thing kanye has done is cause him watch this vbs.tv/watch/spike-spends-saturday-with/kanye-west u don't realize kanye is a artist stronger & all that was experiment 808s & heartbreaks is a album ye wanted def jam didn't want that shit
@swagLilBallin11 Yes, they're all projects he did of his own accord, which is eactly my point. He chose to make music that would be more profitable and digestable than what he used to make.
@ArbyWanKenobi i think what someone is trying to tell you is he doesn't do it for money/publicity... otherwise he'd be in the circle of rappers that make thug music... thats what sells... but notice most of those artists never won a grammy...
if def jam didn't want his proposed album, it means they didn't think it'd make money... unless you yourself have theory that west has a mind that knows what sells beyond his whole label and everyone else... and does everything "for publicity and money"
@viataliy by that i meant you think your opinion overrides people over your head... but i see in a past post, you called the grammy's racist and biased... if anything i saw grammys racist and bias against black people/rap music... if kanye won, i thought it'd mean something... yet you're talking about him selling himself out to sell records... by 'experimenting'? experiments black people in the game longer than him would tell him were not profitable? your grounds sound a bit shakey... really...
@viataliy Def Jam has an image to maintain, that does not include 808s. And again, you really think Kanye went from making the soulful, honest music he made on his first albums to what he does now just because he wanted to?
@ArbyWanKenobi yes he did, his shits still honest more honest than ever. u think someones telling him what to do, none of kanyes ideas look good on paper, its all him, hes a forward thinker, hes always looking for new ways to innovate, he brought back the soulful sampling to hip hop, now hes moving on further innovating coming up with new ideas cos he doesnt want to be stuck doing the same shit forever. and its not as if he can sell out to the mainstream, he practically invented it.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Whoa whoa whoa there, buddy. Let's back up just a second there. JAY DILLA brought back soulful sampling, not Kanye. Kanye just helped tweak the style he heard from people like Dilla and the Soulquarians. And how are his new songs any more honest? Diamonds From Sierra Leonne? Roses? Heard 'Em Say? Compared to songs like Otis, All Of The Lights? And all the people he's working with. LOOK AT THE COMPANY HE USED TO KEEP! Now his cohorts include Drake, Kid Cudi and Big Sean.
@ArbyWanKenobi wrong kanye brought it back, hemade it relevant again, j dilla wasnt famous til he was dead, everyone knows tht, it became actually big again when the blueprint hit. he keeps the exact same company, big sean kudi are buisness. his songsn now are just as honest, about life, fame, people. its called growth, change exploration. not everybodys happy being stuck in one place, hip hop would be where it is today if it wasnt for people like kanye, people always looking forward.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Kanye got his big break from Talib Kweli, who had worked with Dilla for ears. Dilla had also been working with other early 'Ye collaborators like Mos Def, Common, for a WHILE. Not even getting into Dilla's production on Pharcyde, De La Soul and Tribe albums.
And how are you gonna say he keeps the same company? If he really cared like he used to, he'd be puttin' on Mos Def and Common and shit, not helping Big Sean's ignorant ass get a career.
@ArbyWanKenobi mos def hardly makes fucking albums, and he does give beats to common, he ddnt even produce a single song on seans album, sean signed to his label fool its all buisness. and ur infos so wrong, he got hisbig break on jay zs dynasty album. its so easy to spout ur shit from behind a computer screen thio.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Kanye West got did one song on that album, with no fanfare. Get By was a fucking sensational single, got Kanye on the radar of national DJs, and Kweli put him and Jay on the remix. Your info's so wrong, you obviously no nothing. What'd you, Google his first appearance or some shit? You need to learn your Rawkus history. And what song has Kanye produced for Common in the last, what five years since Finding Forever?
@ArbyWanKenobi kanye got his start with jay z idiot everyone knows tht, blueprint made him realy big but he started building his name with bienie siegel and shit like the dynasty. talbi ddnt have his first album and get by out till like 2003 or something. and yeah the last production he did for common was 2007, but he hasnt produced for anyone since, then, he was makinghis own album in 2008. in the last few years hes produced for saigon, t.i, pusha t, and cyhi, and twista, and mostly himself.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Get By got out at 2001 though. He may have been making connections with the Roc around the Blueprint time, but he wasn't well known outside of the Chi until Get By. And exactly, he's not putting on the people he used to work with!
His sound's changed, his personality's changed, his music's changed.
@ArbyWanKenobi he was with jay in 1999 dude tht single did not come out tht year. and of course hes changes, people change, the grow they evolve. whats wrong with tht. my beautiful dark twisted fantasy was a modern masterpiece.no one bitched when tupac changed, he went from socially concious to thug who was only concerned with dissing people, and tht WAS for record sales. kanyes growing is a natural progression, he already did all he need to do with albums like dropout, now hes moving on.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 MBDTF was anything BUT a masterpiece. I'm not trying to act like Kanye can't still make a sick beat when he wants to, he can. He just chooses to either muddy his work down, or spit about stupid faggot shit.
And I certainly wouldn't be holding Kanye up to Tupac for judgement, Tupac was far from perfect as well.
@ArbyWanKenobi its pretty obvious u cant see kanyes music for what it is, dark fantasy was a masterpiece, which is why 99% off ppl lovedit, it was critically acclaimed and people were caling it a masterpiece. u probably think everything nas releases is a masterpiece, anything underground, with above average rhyme schemes and soul sampled beats. kanyes famous so ppl cant except how good he actuallyis. its sad, people always yearn for what they cant have, in 10 year ull be saying the same thing.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 you're wrong. Kanye was all over the world when Graduation dropped. Graduation was the closest thing to a masterpiece he dropped and that album shits all over 808s and MDTF. Don't try to act like everyone who disliked that album is a contrarian. Kanye is extremely talented and if he wants to go mainstream that's his problem. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna give him props if he does good work and in reality MDTF was a horrible Hip Hop album. Nowhere near masterpiece.
@TheMarxist622 how the fuck was it mainstream, how can something be mainstream when no ones heard it before u moron, and graduation, thts probably his worst hip hop album, 808s wasnt a hip hop album. kanye cant go mainstream, and he cant sell out, he practically invented music as it is today, his fingerprints are everywhere, every time something drops knaye changes music, he has nothing to sell out to.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 how the fuck is it mainstream? LMAO sir, you need help. And you're just starting to seem like a fucking groupie. I thought you were an open minded hip hop fan but you're a just a dickrider. How about giving props to real ogs like Premo, Madlib, and RZA. It would be more rational to give them a crown rather than trying to make kanye seem like a god. If you want to suck his dick, that's cool. I ain't got nothing against faggots, but don't be ignorant when it comes to music.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Actually I think most of Nas' albums are absoloute garbage, due to poor-ass production. And most underground sucks. And he was famous when he made All Falls Down and Heard Em Say, liked him then.
@ArbyWanKenobi homie, ignore him. this cat is just simply obsessed with kanye. Better to let him talk to himself. He knows nothing about HIP HOP, so no need to explain anything to his slow ass.
@TheMarxist622 go fuck ur self ,im not dick riding kanye, i just want him to get the props he deserves. im fucking sick of all u "real" fans who know everything but actually know nothing,ur bitch ass mentalities are getting on my nerves. u think anything thats not on billboard is dope, anything tht is is shit, anything with an old soul sample is great andything other is not. u spend all ur time policing rap trapping it in a box claiming ur "real" when 90% of u assholes are white suburbians.
@JiMMyJaM08061991 in fact, im not a hater. Like I stated before, I give kanye mad props for his contribution to the culture and business of hip hop. I love Hip Hop not it's artists. I'll just emphasize this since you can't comprehend and continue to assume that I don't like him just because I don't recognize him as the greatest artist of all time like you do. I've come to the conclusion that you want to suck his dick. You need to chill the fuck out and respect other opinions sensitive bitch.
What's up everyone, i'm a aspiring rapper tryna make it big. Right now I cant afford to buy all the tools I need to make good quality sounding music, but I do have the skill so please check me out and leave positive or negative comments on the songs you choose to listen to, Im just trying to grow as an artist so any and all comments will be greatly apprieciated and considered..Hope you enjoy just click my profile name to view my channel which is Darranjaye. go u ppl bitchinghow u want old kanye back its so fucking sad. i swear u type of fans are worse than comic book nerds, so afraid of change, scared to leave the tiny little corner of ur room and explore.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 who the fuck said we're fans? And the truth, no one wants kanye back. No one even wants him around. You on the other hand, want to give him a blow job. Get over him and come back to reality.

@swagLilBallin11 According to whom, the bribed and racist panel in charge of the Grammy's?
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi most of his fans.go to a ye video act like you don't see alot of love in those comments y'all hip hop heads need to stop being lil girls when someone switches it up every album after CD he switched it up.ye still the best. like rza, hov, raekwon & he got a song with pete rock.all of them likeon that album & pete on WTT
swagLilBallin11 6 months ago
@swagLilBallin11 There's a difference between switching up your style, and forgetting all the old people you worked with, squander your talents for mainstream appeal, and sya stupid, ignorant shit.
And are you saying Kanye still has it because he's got props from Pete Rock & RZA? Ghostface Killah works with The Game and Jim Jones, does that mean they're good too?
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi I like kanye no way are gonna make me dislike him there is no point in arguing cause your someone who can't except something out the box.
swagLilBallin11 6 months ago
@swagLilBallin11 I 'm not trying to dissuade you in your opinion, I'm just trying to have you understand mine. And if you think it's a matter of too much "out-of-the-box"-ness, look at my channel. I've done mixes with Four Tet, Hudson Mohawke, Nujabes. It's not a matter of my conservative taste.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi kanye doesn't need to worry about grown men he did one song with in 04
swagLilBallin11 6 months ago
@swagLilBallin11 You mean Slum V? I agree. That doesn't mean he shouldn't be true to himself.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi every thing kanye has done is cause him watch this vbs.tv/watch/spike-spends-saturday-with/kanye-west u don't realize kanye is a artist stronger & all that was experiment 808s & heartbreaks is a album ye wanted def jam didn't want that shit
swagLilBallin11 6 months ago
@swagLilBallin11 Yes, they're all projects he did of his own accord, which is eactly my point. He chose to make music that would be more profitable and digestable than what he used to make.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi he makes music he wants to plain & simple thats what he wants
swagLilBallin11 6 months ago
@swagLilBallin11 Exactly, the music that will get him media attention and money.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi i think what someone is trying to tell you is he doesn't do it for money/publicity... otherwise he'd be in the circle of rappers that make thug music... thats what sells... but notice most of those artists never won a grammy...
if def jam didn't want his proposed album, it means they didn't think it'd make money... unless you yourself have theory that west has a mind that knows what sells beyond his whole label and everyone else... and does everything "for publicity and money"
viataliy 6 months ago
@viataliy by that i meant you think your opinion overrides people over your head... but i see in a past post, you called the grammy's racist and biased... if anything i saw grammys racist and bias against black people/rap music... if kanye won, i thought it'd mean something... yet you're talking about him selling himself out to sell records... by 'experimenting'? experiments black people in the game longer than him would tell him were not profitable? your grounds sound a bit shakey... really...
viataliy 6 months ago
@viataliy Def Jam has an image to maintain, that does not include 808s. And again, you really think Kanye went from making the soulful, honest music he made on his first albums to what he does now just because he wanted to?
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi yes he did, his shits still honest more honest than ever. u think someones telling him what to do, none of kanyes ideas look good on paper, its all him, hes a forward thinker, hes always looking for new ways to innovate, he brought back the soulful sampling to hip hop, now hes moving on further innovating coming up with new ideas cos he doesnt want to be stuck doing the same shit forever. and its not as if he can sell out to the mainstream, he practically invented it.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi wrong kanye brought it back, hemade it relevant again, j dilla wasnt famous til he was dead, everyone knows tht, it became actually big again when the blueprint hit. he keeps the exact same company, big sean kudi are buisness. his songsn now are just as honest, about life, fame, people. its called growth, change exploration. not everybodys happy being stuck in one place, hip hop would be where it is today if it wasnt for people like kanye, people always looking forward.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Kanye got his big break from Talib Kweli, who had worked with Dilla for ears. Dilla had also been working with other early 'Ye collaborators like Mos Def, Common, for a WHILE. Not even getting into Dilla's production on Pharcyde, De La Soul and Tribe albums.
And how are you gonna say he keeps the same company? If he really cared like he used to, he'd be puttin' on Mos Def and Common and shit, not helping Big Sean's ignorant ass get a career.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi mos def hardly makes fucking albums, and he does give beats to common, he ddnt even produce a single song on seans album, sean signed to his label fool its all buisness. and ur infos so wrong, he got hisbig break on jay zs dynasty album. its so easy to spout ur shit from behind a computer screen thio.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Kanye West got did one song on that album, with no fanfare. Get By was a fucking sensational single, got Kanye on the radar of national DJs, and Kweli put him and Jay on the remix. Your info's so wrong, you obviously no nothing. What'd you, Google his first appearance or some shit? You need to learn your Rawkus history. And what song has Kanye produced for Common in the last, what five years since Finding Forever?

JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi kanye got his start with jay z idiot everyone knows tht, blueprint made him realy big but he started building his name with bienie siegel and shit like the dynasty. talbi ddnt have his first album and get by out till like 2003 or something. and yeah the last production he did for common was 2007, but he hasnt produced for anyone since, then, he was makinghis own album in 2008. in the last few years hes produced for saigon, t.i, pusha t, and cyhi, and twista, and mostly himself.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Get By got out at 2001 though. He may have been making connections with the Roc around the Blueprint time, but he wasn't well known outside of the Chi until Get By. And exactly, he's not putting on the people he used to work with!
His sound's changed, his personality's changed, his music's changed.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi he was with jay in 1999 dude tht single did not come out tht year. and of course hes changes, people change, the grow they evolve. whats wrong with tht. my beautiful dark twisted fantasy was a modern masterpiece.no one bitched when tupac changed, he went from socially concious to thug who was only concerned with dissing people, and tht WAS for record sales. kanyes growing is a natural progression, he already did all he need to do with albums like dropout, now hes moving on.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 MBDTF was anything BUT a masterpiece. I'm not trying to act like Kanye can't still make a sick beat when he wants to, he can. He just chooses to either muddy his work down, or spit about stupid faggot shit.
And I certainly wouldn't be holding Kanye up to Tupac for judgement, Tupac was far from perfect as well.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi its pretty obvious u cant see kanyes music for what it is, dark fantasy was a masterpiece, which is why 99% off ppl lovedit, it was critically acclaimed and people were caling it a masterpiece. u probably think everything nas releases is a masterpiece, anything underground, with above average rhyme schemes and soul sampled beats. kanyes famous so ppl cant except how good he actuallyis. its sad, people always yearn for what they cant have, in 10 year ull be saying the same thing.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 you're wrong. Kanye was all over the world when Graduation dropped. Graduation was the closest thing to a masterpiece he dropped and that album shits all over 808s and MDTF. Don't try to act like everyone who disliked that album is a contrarian. Kanye is extremely talented and if he wants to go mainstream that's his problem. Doesn't mean I'm not gonna give him props if he does good work and in reality MDTF was a horrible Hip Hop album. Nowhere near masterpiece.
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@TheMarxist622 how the fuck was it mainstream, how can something be mainstream when no ones heard it before u moron, and graduation, thts probably his worst hip hop album, 808s wasnt a hip hop album. kanye cant go mainstream, and he cant sell out, he practically invented music as it is today, his fingerprints are everywhere, every time something drops knaye changes music, he has nothing to sell out to.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 how the fuck is it mainstream? LMAO sir, you need help. And you're just starting to seem like a fucking groupie. I thought you were an open minded hip hop fan but you're a just a dickrider. How about giving props to real ogs like Premo, Madlib, and RZA. It would be more rational to give them a crown rather than trying to make kanye seem like a god. If you want to suck his dick, that's cool. I ain't got nothing against faggots, but don't be ignorant when it comes to music.
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 Actually I think most of Nas' albums are absoloute garbage, due to poor-ass production. And most underground sucks. And he was famous when he made All Falls Down and Heard Em Say, liked him then.
ArbyWanKenobi 6 months ago
@ArbyWanKenobi homie, ignore him. this cat is just simply obsessed with kanye. Better to let him talk to himself. He knows nothing about HIP HOP, so no need to explain anything to his slow ass.
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@TheMarxist622 go fuck ur self ,im not dick riding kanye, i just want him to get the props he deserves. im fucking sick of all u "real" fans who know everything but actually know nothing,ur bitch ass mentalities are getting on my nerves. u think anything thats not on billboard is dope, anything tht is is shit, anything with an old soul sample is great andything other is not. u spend all ur time policing rap trapping it in a box claiming ur "real" when 90% of u assholes are white suburbians.
JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha don't assume anything bitch. you're stupid, that's that.
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 you want him to get the props he deserves? yeah, you're a dickrider.

JiMMyJaM08061991 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 much better than a dickrider
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@JiMMyJaM08061991 in fact, im not a hater. Like I stated before, I give kanye mad props for his contribution to the culture and business of hip hop. I love Hip Hop not it's artists. I'll just emphasize this since you can't comprehend and continue to assume that I don't like him just because I don't recognize him as the greatest artist of all time like you do. I've come to the conclusion that you want to suck his dick. You need to chill the fuck out and respect other opinions sensitive bitch.
TheMarxist622 6 months ago
@TheMarxist622 How can you love hip-hop and not the artists? Does that even make sense?

@Harborx if you can comprehend, then yes it does. Obviously you can't. Don't try
