not much of a fight. ya shelley got jabbed alot. i hate how guys always tackle the other guy down to the ice, that is weak!! throw blows til someone is down or until both are too tired to go no more.

@sjshark11fan Bissonette did throw blows until Shelley went down, also, tackling someone is not weak, it's a fight, you use what you're good at if it means you win. You obviously have not been in many fights either on or off the ice.

Also, in this fight (watch the 0.45 mark) Shelley actually pulls Bissonette on top of him when he gets dropped

I guess shelley is starting to get a little long in the tooth for a heavyweight.

Still a tough guy and still impressive in some fights....just has the odd stinker now and then.

I'll always give Shelley thumbs up....He's had an awful lot of fights and never seemed to duck anyone. Fought Probert, Laraque, Boogy........Not every fighter can say that.

exactly shelley had one of the toughest reps around back then and dominated everyone.

even as a rookie blue jacket he was a feared man.

but....alas he seems to have gonne the hordichuk way and is just earning a pay check and doing the bear minimum.

nhl clubs should just rotate the toughest rookie and minor league heavys

I'm a huge fan of Jody Shelley (going back to his time with the Halifax Mooseheads), but it's pretty hard to deny Bissonette the win in this fight.

I didn't see Shelley land any quality punches, while Bissonette connected flush with several jersey jabs and appeared to knock Shelley down with a straight right to end the fight.

Bad start to the season for Shelley. Hopefully he'll work his way out of the slump.
