I'm in the process of slowly saving up for a synth (upgrading from an sh-201, on which i taught myself), what would you recommend would be the best synth to get to be able to play some vangelis covers and similar-style songs on? bear in mind I'm a 17 year old fledgling synth-junky so my knowledge of various synthesizers may be inadequate

@BlueIzzzs Hi , the sound at .59 is from the ensoniq esq, a patch I created to emulate the yamaha cs80. The keyboard on the bottom is the esq, also a midi controller.

So many others have tried to get the Vangelis sound and only come close. Even John Beal who is a master synthesist..

I think a lot of it is because they concentrated too much on the notes, and not on the correct emphasis of playing for emotion, which is what you have magically mastered in your fingers. This is the key to your wonderful sound, whether you are doing pure covers, or making your own music. You understand how to play with feeling. akin to the man himself.
